TOO LONG!
vlholden5226 August 2022
Although the filmmaking has improved, editing still needs work. Scenes lasted way too long--it dragged so much--it bored me. I liked the books and read this one in 2 days. It took me 2 days to finish this movie. The film scoring was better in this and it was nice to see more people/extras in scenes.

Not worth the hours

I should have just left it with Gabriel's Rapture part 2. It felt forced to do a part 3 when everything could have been concluded in part 2. Alas not worth the money I spent watching it but needed to conclude this.

Boring boring boring don't waste your time or money with this series it's the most boring book and movie I've seen and read. I'd rather go to Italy than see this or read it.

Breathtaking!!!

Gabriel's Rapture has always been my favorite volume so I was eagerly looking forward to the film. Every time another GI movie came out I felt it was slightly better than the last one. But Gabriel's Rapture Part 3 represents a new level which can be called PERFECTION. The acting of Giulio and Melanie has not given us any reason to complain so far, but what they had to bring in this part was much more, since it presents the greatest depths and heights of the human soul. I have NEVER seen such emotions on screen. Giulio and Melanie's emotional expressions are more than real and exude incredible power. When you watch them, you feel that you can't quit. Their gaze, their facial expressions, their posture, their movements, even the rhythm of their breaths, all contribute to perfectly convey the characters' spiritual state, most subtle emotions. As Gabriel and Julia grow throughout the story, Giulio and Melanie's progress is spectacular too. They get more and more connected to their characters, they can be more and more one with them. By now Giulio and Melanie are fully mature for these roles. But I could also mention all the other actors. They are also great. And then some other things I love in it: 1. Perfectly created tension-filled scenes, when you're almost holding your breath. E.g. When they are talking on that rainy night in Julia's apartment and their stuttering conversation is full of screaming silence. 2. Beautiful cinematography, visual elements that completely serve the story. E.g. How the film takes us from that rainy night to the next day. The clouds disappear and are replaced by a beautiful blue sky. What a beautiful reference to the state of their heart and relationship. The tough times are over, and hope is raised. 3. Amazing musical elements that help us to feel every moment even more deeply. My absolute favorite is Angela Little's song "St. Francis' Prayer", which has both moving lyrics and melody and fits the Florentine scenes perfectly. So how much did the film touch me? Very much! First I was crying and anxious. Then I was relieved. And at the end I soared. I was totally a part of this heart-rending and uplifting journey all along. Gabriel's Rapture Part 3 is about deep emotions, about soul, about spirituality, about growth, about hope and new start. So its pace can't be fast. You have to watch it with your soul. You have to give yourself completely to the experience. If you can't do that, it won't touch you. This is the part that makes me love this series the most.

Stunningly Romantic
jaclyn_thomas17 August 2022
This was an almost perfect ending to the Gabriel's Rapture series. Guilio and Melanie were as usual outstanding in their expression of their emotions. I smiled all the way through this film from watching Gabriel do charitable efforts and cheered when Julia put Dean Aras in his place! But when Gabriel returned to Boston it is beyond exciting.

I did think that there was certainly scope to split even this part into two movies. I would have liked to see Gabriel's attempt to woo Julia again. It did seem a bit rushed that it went straight from the getting back together to Rachel's wedding. But that is my only criticism. The costumes were beautiful as were the sets.

I completely recommend this film as with all the others in the series.

When will we be free of this "movie franchise"??
marwillreview11 November 2022
Let me put it this way. It took me 4 Months to finish this movie. I first watched half of it (because that was all I could fathom at the moment) back in july when it was released. And now I'm finally watching the second half because I hate myself, I guess. This movies was just simply BORING! So boring that it lost me completely, or maybe it was the horrible plot. Also, bad acting as expected and 2 hours and 15 minutes too long!!! All I have to say is that I need someone at Passionflix to please take away the directors chair from Tosca Musk, because these movies have proved it over and over again. This lady cannot direct, and unfortunately she has no vision.

Continuing the story
My5terygi5l15 August 2022
Gabriel's Rapture:Part Three continues where Gabriel's Rapture:Part II left off. All of the wonderful character's area back, but this one centers strictly on our main character's. There aren't any big turns, just two people in love finding each other again and fixing misunderstandings and explanations from the demands and problems caused by other's. The content is straight forward, but keeps us wanting to see the final scene. We are not disappointed. A beautiful love story. It makes me want to start all over and relive the journey of Gabriel and Julia.

Perfect off the charts

To be able to create books and characters that millions hold dear to their heart is an amazing accomplishment, but to then bring that accomplishment to life while keeping true to the books, and also through the choice of cast, screenwriter, settings, music and cinematography takes a visionary of a director. Sylvain Reynard and Tosca Musk are the perfect pairing.

Of the movies, I loved Gabriel's Inferno and I love Gabriel's Rapture even more, especially Part 3. Gabriel's Rapture took viewers through every human emotion, and yet the movie Part 3 showed that even after the darkest of times, there is hope and leads to joy.

In other words, fabulous, fantastic, phenomenal!!!!! Director, cast, crew and Passionflix staff you've surpassed my expectations, and I'm a borderline perfectionist. Giulio Berruti, Melanie Zanetti and James Andrew Fraser you are excellent actors and made the audience feel every heartbreak, fear and joy with them. The screenplay by Mary Pocrnic included all the pivotal and poignant moments. Tosca Musk you are a true master of setting the scene (the clouds calming to indicate a calming of their lives.) and all the cinematography and settings are magnificent. Tosca has the ability to bring the best out of each and everyone involved. Sylvain Reynard's written story is a masterpiece, and under Tosca's direction the masterpiece was brought to life. Ten stars.

An emotional journey of self-discovery
lisamolitoris18 August 2022
Wow! PassionFlix delivers - film adaptations that are true to the story as it is written. Tosca & team bring the book Gabriel's Rapture to its conclusion with this installment. I think this is my favorite one (out of the 6 parts). This installment is a visual treat, with stunning photography of key locations, most notably Italy. Picking up where Part 2 left off, Gabriel and Julia have gone their separate ways and are forced to navigate daily life without each other. Not an easy task after finally finding each other. Melanie Zanetti's portrayal of Julia has evolved from a quiet "rabbit" to a strong woman who stands up for herself. In Ms. Zanetti's hands, Julia's heartbreak at having to move on is palpable and you can see the internal struggle while doing everyday tasks to socializing with friends. Gabriel is on his own journey of self-discovery. And it is in this chapter that Guilio Berruti's talent as an actor SHINES! His ability to bring to life Gabriel's journey, primarily the emotional journey is riveting. The viewer can't help but feel the pain Gabriel feels wandering aimlessly through the streets of Italy. Supporting characters such as Grace, Maia and Paul move Julia and Gabriel's emotional journey forward. One can't help but feel sad for Paul in this story. James Andrew Fraser allows the viewer to feel Paul's disappointment at the outcome of the story. I am looking forward to the continuing story of Gabriel and his Julianne.

"Behold, thou art fair, my love..."

Who would have thought quoting a Bible verse could be sexy? (Seriously, read the Song of Solomon!) The two leads really become their perfectly imperfect characters. I'm left with the hope true love and redemption is possible for anyone.

The story wonderfully continues
jadeapple-6777327 August 2022
I have now watched the 6 movies and read the 4 volume series several times. I waited 'til now to review them.

Let me say that I simply love the books and hope that you will read them. There is so much more to this story than is portrayed in the movies. The brilliance and sensitivity of Sylvain Reynard (SR) has given the reader so much to think about.

We patiently waited Part 3 of Rapture movie; and, while I loved it, there was just not enough time to cover some of the outstanding issues from the book. For example, the movie did not give the viewer a good sense of how long Gabriel and Julia waited to get married and how long they abstained from making love.

I love the classical music used in the series but did not care for most of the vocals in Rapture 3.

I could go on and on; but, fear that you will not even read such a long review. I will end by repeating that I love these characters. I thank SR for so fully developing them and for the creativity of the entire series. Tosca Musk had a huge task and she eloquently presented the story. Needless to say, I loved the actors who portrayed Gabriel and Julianne.
