- A satirical short film taking a look at the national debt and how it applies to just one family.
- This is a satire, comparing the handling of the national debt to the handling of a family's debt. In both cases, the debt falls on the children.
In this short film, Joe (Brian Stepanek) wants to raise his debt limit, despite having no increase in income and is already spending 180% of what he earns. Joe is planning a trip to Australia, buying a new car and just bought a new big screen TV.
The banker (Eddie Jemison) declines to help him, and Joe cannot understand why.
When the banker learns Joe has children, a solution opens up.
Joe correlates to the US president and the banker correlates to US Congress in finding a solution to raising debt limits. The solution is the same in the film as it is for the President and Congress. Throw the debt on the children. This satirical film clearly illustrates the comparison.
