I still remember waking up every Saturday morning and running downstairs with my brother to watch 'Space Stallions'. It was better than GI:JOE, it was better than Transformers and it was even better than Dino Riders!
'Space Stallions' is a cartoon about a group of heroes called the Space Stallions, who battle against the forces of evil across the galaxy. There's Sun Ray, the leader, who also shreds on his sword/keytar. There's Ion Ray, the muscle. There's X-ray, the brains, and there's Optica, the looks. Together they harness the awesome power of light, bestowed upon them by Mother Mustang, a galactic horse/unicorn deity. Full of awesome episodes, and dealing with themes often thought too dark for children's shows (remember the episode where X-Ray gets addicted to Zeyphr?) or the episode that dealt with racism? Do your kids a favour, track down a VHS tape of Space Stallions, and change their lives. Power of the horse, full force!!
