A groovy and interesting pop/rock song from duo Paralamas do Sucesso and featuring singer Djavan, "Uma Brasileira" gets a quite cool video where the group members
appear as giant characters inside of small scenarios, such as the miniature bathroom where they play their instruments and spy on a pretty woman. Djavan briefly appears
in between shots but without any interaction with Herbert Vianna and gang.
It's a very catchy, melodic song, with all the great potential elements to become a hit. It was a hit back then, middle 1990's, but in time it got forgotten over the years (when Paralamas resumed their activies in 2003, some years after Herbert Vianna's accident that left him paraplegic, they performed with Djavan on a live concert, amazing performance). It's a nice video, instant classic and one of the group's best in the 1990's, only losing impact and appeal to the cinematic and excellent "Ela Disse Adeus". The music rhtyhms, the use of percussion and the curious lyrics make it a great experience to be heard and as for some editing effects and the art-direction are all good elements to noticed. Very superior to their videos from the 1980's where the music was the higher appeal; here but sound and visual makes the experience worth seeing. 8/10.
