Low Key

Chase is stabbed in the previous episode. He takes a few weeks off and falls back on his womanizing and his old habits. He is a really talented doctor. Upon his return his first clinical case is a novice Nun about to enter a very severe sect. He falls in love with her. She gets cold feet and appears on his doorstep. He sleeps with her.

Now we have the whole push and pull of his being her doctor and having an intense personal relationship.

But he wants to continue things when she is, herself, going through questioning. He treats things simply, feeling that her faith is foolish and keeps her from experiencing life to the fullest--his fullest.

House makes things hard on him. He confronts him on his beliefs and explains why getting together with this young woman would be wholly destructive. Very moving episode.

Wissenswertes
As House makes a soda balloon while talking to Chase, he fills a purple balloon then puts the soda bottle on the table. He turns and talks while tying off the purple balloon. The camera changes angles, the balloon is now orange, and the soda bottle is back in House's hand. House has two balloons, one purple and the other orange.

Chase scrubs in preparation to operate on Moira's dissection, against the advice of all but House. After he finishes scrubbing, Chase touches the OR door with his hand, rather than shouldering it open as he does in every other scene where he's just finished scrubbing, but before a scrub nurse has put the gown and gloves on him.
