Black Lake is now a crocodile sanctuary, surrounded by an electric fence. When the fence is left open, a high-school bus unknowingly enters the park. It's up to Reba and the Sheriff to save the kids from becoming crocodile food.

The Black Lake is isolated from the local inhabitants by an electric barrier built by the Army engineers. The engineer Ryan Loflin and his son Max are working in the protection barrier and Sheriff Theresa Giove is trying to exterminate the crocodiles from the lake working with the former poacher Reba . When the sheriff's daughter Chloe accepts the invitation of her schoolmates to go to a camping party by the lake, the reckless driver does not pay attention on the road, crosses the gate and mistakenly stops by the Black Lake. Meanwhile a group of poachers led by the hunter Jim Bickerman also trespass the gate to hunt crocodiles and seek worthy crocodile eggs. After escaping death by the skin of her teeth during the blood-soaked events of Lake Placid 3 - Calma apparente (2010), the lucky ex-poacher, Reba, joins the Environmental Protection Agency, to rid Maine's notorious Black Lake of its reptilian infestation. To keep the massive crocodiles at bay, the inhabitants have erected an impassable electric fence; however, when an unsuspecting group of high school students find themselves in the heart of the protected area, parts will go missing. Now, with her daughter, Chloe, trapped in the infested area, Sheriff Giove and Reba must risk life and limb to rescue the human prey before it's too late.
