I may be exaggerating with this perfect ten-star rating over a quite simple and safe clip but I have some reasoning behind. "Don't Give Up on Me" is one of the most uplifting songs ever made and in for the past couple of years where very little of recent music interested me or made me want to listen to it, this one caught my attention and since then I'm addicted to it. The great Jamie Cullum outdid himself again by creating a magical moment in musical history. It isn't jazzy like his earlier tunes, this is more pop/rock oriented but it's all good.

Cullum is filmed in a close-up shot singing the song while some parts of it are presented through lyrics/titles on the screen in a type of effect and transition better known and used by the great filmmaker Jean-Luc Godard. Since there are some parts where Cullum isn't viewed due to a blackness from the screen I don't think the video was shot in one-take as it gives such impression. That's the idea, basically. It's full of enthusiasm and care, a ittle bit of sadness but the message of love overcomes everything, so romantic. 10/10.
