Very disappointing... Do waste money n time on this movie!!

The movie is not meant for family! It is not entertaining... No story and direction... Music and comedy timing is very bad... Waste of money and time... Chikanna as a lead hero could have chosen better script.. I had lot of expectations from the actor, but, very disappointing... The plot had nothing, all cheap jokes not meant for family at all... Watch it if and when on OTT... We should make better good class comedy movies and not always cater to double meanings as jokes... Should stop luring people with such standards... 2nd half was even more predictable story and I slept through the movie..

Warning: Spoilers
Before going to the movie, had very high expectations on this movie because the prequel of this movie Adhyaksha was a great hit. Went to movie thinking the movie has great comedy timing of its prequel, but it failed my expectations. The cast of the film is good but the story is average. Direction has no grip over the story. The secenes are loosely held. Even though story is average, director could have used his imagination to make a good film by his comic sence. But he has failed in doing that. Film's positive points are very less. Lead actor and actress look good. Music is good. And couple comic secenes. Overall waste of money and time. NOT A FAMILY COMIDY AS PROMOTED BY THE FILM TEAM.

The Vice President gets a barely funny film.

Upadhyaksha focuses on Narayana (Chikkanna) who has taken up the responsibility to irk the village head Shiva Rudregowda (Ravi Shankar). Their fun banter takes a turn when Shiva Rudregowda hires Narayana as a servant in return to the money owed by Narayana's drunkard father. Gowda's younger daughter Anjali (Malaika) falls for Narayana and convinces him to elope with her. What happens after they elope, with a psycho cop and hee father chasing them, forms rest of the story.

Upadhyaksha has a frustrating sequel which atleast is passable in the first half for it's silly comedy scenes minus the cheap double entendre humor, the character of Sadhu Kokila brings in. It is the second half where the story goes haywire, focusing on the eloped couple and struggle to decide whether it wants to remain a comedy film throughout. Because the dramatic moments are as cringe as it can get and the humor here barely works. Even the expected cameo in the end is not enough to save this mess. The Chikkanna brand humor works in the first half and that's about it.
