Based on a graphic-novel series scheduled for release in fall 2023. While some may say this makes the graphic novel based on the show, since the show came out first, the concept/storyline/characters were originally created for the graphic novel and adapted to the show, regardless of the release timeline of each product.
Each episode title is a play on a movie, book, or TV show title.
Peyton List (Maddie) and Milo Manheim (Wally) are both Disney Channel alums. List starred in "Jessie" and Mannheim starred in the "Z-O-M-B-I-E-S" franchise.
Despite playing teenagers, none of the cast members were teens at the time of the premiere. Peyton List was almost 25 and Milo Mannheim was 22. Kristian Ventura was 23, Spencer MacPherson and Kiara Pichardo were 25, Nick Pugliese and Jess Gabor were 26, and Sarah Yarkin was almost 30.
