A Worthy Performance
tkdlifemagazine24 June 2022
Paul Virzi reminds me a bot of Sebastian Maniscalco. He is a funny, down to earth stand up comedian whose performance is somewhat observational and somewhat storytelling humor. While I am not familiar with his work I did enjoy this Post COVID special. I feel like if I saw him in a club I would have thought he was great. As a Netflix special I think he is very good. He held my interest.

Witty, mostly clean, humor
Valid_ID30 June 2022
Paul Virzi manages to perform a polished, mostly clean show, with wit, in an age where many other standup comedians rely on crass humor, peppered with too much cussing, to force laughter.

I hadn't heard about Paul Virzi before watching his Netflix special, although apparently he's been touring since at least 2009, but from now on I'll follow his career, which I'm sure will continue to ascend to greater fame.

Sharp down to earth.

I usually don't have the patience for weak comedians and can't watch it for more then 5 mins and there are many out there. But Paul Virzi caught my attention, made me laugh and identify with what he was saying. Paul is sharp, down to earth, funny and intuitive.

Finally! A Great Post-Covid Comedy Special
genious-3541324 June 2022
For ages I've been hearing about the Netflix is a Joke Comedy Special and I had been hearing so many great names associated with it, but as we've been seeing the releases coming out, I've been underwhelmed. It was getting so bad that I thought that I might even give the Hannah Gadsby special a watch. Luckily THIS came out and I didn't have to resort to another comedy special created with zero laughs and zero jokes.

Some great material about his family, his Dad's appreciation of rappers are great but the absolute best is his take on the Jeffrey Dahmer special.

My review is short, but succinct.

Warning: Spoilers
THIS IS ONLY THE FUNNIEST DAMN COMEDY SPECIAL EVER, THAT'S ALL.

This is a brilliant mind, doing comedy right. He's incredibly sharp, and his delivery and setups are FLAWLESS.

Seriously. It's so refreshing to laugh at no-holds-barred, relatable jokes again. I hope to see more from him in the future.

No subject is taboo, and he's just so damn likable, that he gets away with material which most comedians wouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole.

Brilliant.

Distracting Pacing
ebade-2754726 June 2022
I didn't watch this long enough to have an opinion on the actual comedy. He performs on a small stage, and rapidly paces back and forth so much that it drove me nuts. I couldn't watch more than 5 minutes.

Loved it

First special of Paul Virzi that I've watched. That was so, so funny. Very original & down to earth Everyman comedy. Naturally talented & edgy. I suspect there's much more to come as I get the impression that he was holding back.

Looking forward to more specials. I suspect his next specials will be much more out-there c

Thanks Paul Virzi.
