Love the lookalikes

Warning: Spoilers
Being old enough to remember the original show, I loved the Incredible Hulk parody.

(Also, Joel McHale actually IS better-looking than Ryan Seacrest, so there!)

solid episode
giantpanther29 March 2012
Abed has run up a huge tab with a celebrity impersonator company so that he can re-enact a number of his favorite movie scenes in person. This leads to his friends having to work off that debt for French Stewart who is playing a former French Stewart impersonator.

To pay off the debt, Shirley plays Oprah, Britta and Troy play the two versions of Michael Jackson, Annie plays Dorothy from the wizard of oz (i think), and Jeff plays Ryan Seacrest.

Jeff is also taking anti-anxiety pills and as it turns out the slight amount of anxiety he carried helped to deflect full out narcissism from forming.

At the end of the episode we have the second appearance of Dark Abed, the Abed that was formed during the episode that showed alternate timelines deviating from who had to go get the pizza.

All in all, good!

Kind of following on from Critical Film Studies

Warning: Spoilers
This episode leaves the viewer wanting more, e.g. More about Chang's ascendancy, evil Abed, the friendship between the real Abed and Troy. The impressions were impressive, especially Shirley as Oprah and Jeff as the Incredible Hulk!

Great episode and great build up for Chang
kemalbilmez10 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This is one of the best Chang performances in the early seasons and sets up the later major storyline where Chang rises up and takes over. He warns the dean about this but the dean ignores it. "hahaha I don't know why I said that" it will always kill me

Jeff's storyline is a really funny one, he does seem extra confident and handsome in this episode.

In the end of the episode Troy and Abeds friendship gets a major hit that will also lead to a double episode of a feud between the two.

This episode might be less flashy than others but is a crucial one and sets up later episodes and stroylines extremely well. Great writing all in all, as usual.
