Another good lifetime movie
Prophetik3 September 2022
This was another good life time movie, watching from the characters and figuring out who all was doing what and who had what plans, almost like a Clue story I was very suspicious if everyone on the show. From everything went on but the plot stayed on point and all of it lead back perfectly.

Their is one thing that was not explained at all. Who was it that slammed the the garage door shut, and turned the car on????? That is about the only scene that didn't make sense nor was ever touched on or brought up again with a answer. Other then that it was a great movie & would defenitley tell anyone to watch this film.

Just a routine forensic audit

Warning: Spoilers
PLOT SPOILERS Mr. Connor Covington (Jamie Spilchuk) and Taylor (Kathryn Kohut) are secretly married and plan a public wedding. Connor broke up with Emma (Alex Jade) who is not taking it well. Taylor meanwhile is having an affair with the CFO (David Pinard). Connor's mom (Barbara Gordon) is not doing well and they hire Nurse Nora (Rebecca Liddiard) to help out. Nurse Nora is not who she claims to be and has been reluctantly casing the place for her husband Ben (Chris Young). Nothing is as it seems to be in this Lifetime film. Finally one where you couldn't guess the entire plot from the opening teaser.

Decent Lifetime film of dishonesty and greed.

Above average

Warning: Spoilers
This was an above average LMN movie. The plot was pretty good. Some of the acting was not good. And there were scenes which left some questions such as when Nora gets trapped in the garage and the car engine starts. We never find out who was behind it. Nor do we find out who left Taylor the note about Nora. Was it all Ben, Nora's estranged husband? And if so why?

But anyway. Rebecca Liddiard was very good in the movie as the protagonist. I have only seen one other movie of hers A Thousand Little Cuts (2022) and she was superb in that alongside. Marina Sirtis.

Jamie Spilchuk wasn't bad. I suppose. I have seen him in A Date with Danger. (2021) another LMN movie, and he wasn't too good in that one.

In any event I liked this movie for a TV movie anyway.

Who's the real danger in THIS house?
Chartreuse11 September 2022
June Covington, a wealthy widow of a mega-million dollar construction company is in need of a caregiver. Her son. Connor and his girlfriend, Taylor, agree. But who will they find? . After a restaurant evening out, June has a dizzy spell falling to the floor and Nora, a registered nurse is seated not too far away lends a helping hand. Connor offers Nora the job of taking care of his mother but Taylor doesn't trust her intentions and has the cleaning lady keep an eye on her since she used to take care of June before Nora came on the scene. This is a Lifetime movie with a lot of twists and turns and the final act is great. Supported by a solid Canadian cast and a great script, it is HIGHLY recommended!

Danger! Danger! Everywhere!
lavatch30 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
"Danger in the House" had all of the elements of a crackling good soap opera. At every turn, danger was imminent!

The "house" in the title is a grand old Victorian home in Chicago belonging to the wealthy and powerful Covington family. Connor Covington, the heir to the Covington fortune, has secretly married Taylor Hayes, who works closely with him in the Covington corporate headquarters.

In the home, Covington's mother June is a virtual invalid, and Nora Reed is the kind nurse hired to be a caregiver. But Nora Reed is actually Lenora Reed Griswold, who was allegedly tied to a tragic death when she was a caregiver in her home town Greenville, South Carolina. A patient had died under her care. But was she really to blame for what may have been a case involving Munchausen syndrome by proxy? Her ex-husband Ben is a vicious blackmailer, who figures in the action as well.

The characters were exceptionally well developed, including such secondary roles as Mary (the maid), Emma (Connor's former girlfriend), and Rex (the lothario working at Covington headquarters). My favorite character was the dear mother June, who holds the film together as the grande dame of the manor. The filmmakers were skillful in revealing the twists and revelations about the various characters' histories. But the one truly wholesome character was dear June Covington.

There was an excellent denouement that tied up all of the loose ends in this frenetic roller coaster ride. The film was so good that it might invite a sequel entitled "More Danger in the House."

Suspenseful thriller
coltras3530 May 2023
Chicago businesswoman Taylor and her boss Connor Covington are having a secret love affair that is not so secret. They are planning their wedding and are having trouble keeping up with caring for Connor's elderly mother, June. (Whom they are living with.)

Meanwhile, Nora has moved to Chicago to escape an abusive husband, who soon catches up with her when she becomes a care giver to Connor's mother, and he wants her to get him inside the family estate or else he will tell the new family about Nora's past if she doesn't steal money for him.

Nora bumps into Emma, Connor's long-time girlfriend, who was suddenly dumped after he met Taylor. She hands her an envelope and it looks like Nora isn't the only one holding secrets... soon things start to spiral into a deadly affair... And June the mother is in danger...

This is a solid Lifetime thriller that boasts a good cast, a strong story and a fine build-up in the plot. It's very suspenseful and at first you are not sure who the protagonist is - it keeps the cards close to its chest.

Well-done, Suspenseful Thriller

Warning: Spoilers
I really enjoyed this. The acting by all the main players was excellent. Rebecca Liddiard as Nora, Jamie Spilchuk as Connor and Barbara Gordon as June Covington were especially likeable.

I was hoping Nora and Connor might get together at the end, but oh well. Kathryn Kohit as Taylor was convincing. Although she went excessively hard on the tight skirts & excess cleavage, like wow. Okay.

I don't know any woman who would go to a park alone at midnight to meet a sketchy stranger. So that was a very unbelievable little scenario. I liked the various plot twists in the story with the crescendo of colliding villains at the end. It was really well done.
