the red stuff saved it

Because I understand Dutch I'm searching for the Nederhorrors that are available. Some were released on major labels like Slachnacht or Doodeind but most of them you have to search on the web after some obscure VHS or at conventions. I ran into this one at a convention. By just looking at the cover you could see immediately that it was extreme low budget. I have nothing against that fact so I bought it. It was even signed by Wendy Del Grosso which added something to the disc. Because it's her one and only flick...

The acting was naturally as theatrical as it could be. But it clocked in at just over an hour and that was more then enough. There are some sexy chicks in it but just when they go to bath or are seducing their victims the editing was done in a way that they didn't have to undress. Not that it was necessary but the movie starts with an introduction were some buxom slut is teasing you with showing her juggs at the end of the flick, she comes back and strips but of course the director did some noise over the image not to reveal anything.

On the other hand, it's a horror and the red stuff do flows and even sometimes in a gory fashion. You do see some intestines coming out of a body. The story itself it's as simple as it can be. Added as an extra on the disc is the short 'Vleesdag' which is one to see, clocking in just at 9 minutes it has a lot of red stuff and gore. Most of the killings or mutilation in both flicks are done off screen and you only see the result. Happy to have it, there are turkeys out there but this is on the border of it, but as I said, the red stuff saved it..

Oh yeah, and watch the credits were you see some butchering at a cinema were it was shown. In fact, don't take it all too seriously...

Go see it underground film buff!

This Dutch horror cheapie was made by a bunch of friends who had a great time making it on a budget of nothing. It premiered on a small festival in November 2009 to a enthusiastic crowd of horror fans and has played a few more nights with success in small theaters.

Don't expect high standard stuff like you see in big budget flicks, but if you are into something made by fans FOR fans who have a lot of love for the genre than this is something you'll probably love and will see over and over again! If you like Troma, then this is a wet dream for underground film enthusiast! Remember: GIVE ME YOUR POWER DEEP INSIDE ME!
