Can lots of money help you leave your troubles behind?

Benjamin Troubles is one of those movies that is truly a hidden gem. If you want to see a genuinely great movie that many people (unfortunately) have never heard of, this is it. It deserved to be in the major cinemas. It's a dark comedy, action romance, thriller that all fits together perfectly. It has a great, modern, and believable script that is very well acted. It can be difficult to find a great script in which an addict and dealer is able to escape the hell they live in, but this is one of them because it is believable. The three main actors are exceptional. You see and feel the pain, fear, frustration, and surprise of the three main characters as performed by Manu Intirayami (Ben), Mishel Prada (Nova), and Phillip Andre Botello (Miles). Manu Intirayami stands in particular as he has always had the acting skill and charisma that draws you to watch him even the focus is on another actor and their character. That's true talent. In this movie, he has two strong co-stars which is something that hasn't always had. However, this helps him shine even more. There is never a dull moment and there is a truly unexpected ending. Additionally, The cinematography is excellent. The technique of jump cuts and slow motion are used sparingly and only at the most effective and appropriate moments. This is an exceptional film - watch it!

GOOD movie

Warning: Spoilers
This movie has a little bit of almost everything: comedy, drama, romance, BROmance, & fantasy. Watching this movie is a bit of a roller-coaster ride. Ben (as played by the exceptional Manu Intiraymi) is a very sympathetic character. YES, he makes some bad choices about the money, but, that is the POINT of the movie; having money doesn't necessarily undo your problems, and may even CAUSE some.

Mishel Prada (Nova) and Manu Intiraymi (Ben) were a good choice for the romantic angle of the story. Whatever "it" is, they HAVE it. Mishel Prada is a very good actress. I have never seen her in anything before, but I will be looking for more from her now.

Phillip Andre Botello (Miles): This actor was the perfect choice for this character. He WAS the character!

All the supporting actors did a decent job. I was never bored (this is a rarity for me with romance movies). In some parts I literally laughed out loud...like the part when Ben tells Miles to stick his hand in his pants pocket, Miles does and nothing is there, then Ben thrusts his hips forward and says "Do it again"...LOL.

I don't see how anyone could be disappointed with this movie! GOOD JOB by all involved!!!

A story about a man who stumbles upon good luck- or so it may seem...

This film is original, thought-provoking, and entertaining. Great script! Manu Intiraymi (Ben) and Phillip Andre Botello (Miles) were my favorite characters. They have great chemistry and comedic timing. I also thought Mishel Prada (Nova), was terrific. Overall, the acting was very good. The film is fast-paced and has some great action sequences. Occasionally, I got confused with some of the characters and their relationships, but it all came together in the end. The cinematography is interesting- the slow-motion/jump cuts are different; very effective! I liked how random they were. I thought the production quality was very good. The locations, wardrobe, sound, music, and editing was impressive.I really enjoyed this film and recommend it to anyone looking for a night of enjoyment and laughs.

Amused by the chaos

The main characters Manu Intiraymi (Ben), Mishel Prada (Nova), and Phillip Andre Botello (Miles) were interesting (and sometimes hilarious) in their respective roles. The supporting characters were unbelievable at some point. The movie brings drama, fantasy, and comedy in an entertaining way. Sometimes the story gets extremely weird though and seems to lose focus on the story. I enjoyed the movie, but I did not quite "connect" with it. It was surely not boring. I laughed a lot and was confused about some pointless scenes. I did feel sorry about Ben and his conflicts about spending the money. Some of his decisions seemed poor to me, at these parts the story was a little lame. The story was quite original though I think - never saw such a genre mix before.
