Excellent film !
hugosanchezcarrerelaas2 November 2022
It's a really good projet, especially when you know that it is the first ever directed by Victor Blaho ! Can't wait for the other projects to come !

The development of the complexity of the characters is rather interesting. The dystopian world makes it both terrifying and fascinating. This might happen some day so we better be prepared. The music and the sound design are great and definitely make the project valuable. The quality of the pictures and the colors are great ! This is a huge teamwork and it will stay in time as a great piece of art, that's fore sure. Congratulations to Victor Blaho and the entire team of the film.

Powerful and passionate
ninavarna11 October 2022
A moving revelation of what goes in young people's minds- "the hidden side " presented with passion, imagination and mysticism. Powerful confession surrounded by music! What an ambiance!

The London premiere presented the perfect "surroundings" for the film. The "well hidden" Whirled Cinema at Loughborough Junction, the obscure lighting, the relatively small but cosy and intimate hall gathered people from various parts of the world to witness the moving scenes created by Victor's imagination, performed under the powerful rhythms written by Assen and Monica!

A true cocktail of emotions and promise!

A must see!!!

Love, hate, and the games a mind can play when thinking back.

Set in an oh-so near dystopian reality, Victor Blaho's newest micro-budget Nolanesque romantic drama tests the ethics of love, justice, and the illusion in between.

"Memories of Another" portrays the tragic story of Zach and Mia's 'once-was' relationship.

Following the mysterious death of his lover (Mia), Zach now finds himself in the hands of Blair, a government investigator & scientist who has pioneered a life changing machine (Pandora) that supposedly enables justice to reach the fairest verdict of all by replaying the dramatic events prior to a suspected crime. These events are re-lived through the suspect's mind, and thus, inevitably, his memories.

The thought-provoking ethical elements in this film all lie within the prejudice of a crime, and its suspect. Raising questions such as - "Is it fair to enter the mind and privacy of a suspect, with the scope of reaching a fair verdict?" "In the absence of evidence, can we truly rely on memory as the sole mean to justice?" But most of all... "Can we trust judicial representatives, to not abuse their power?" - The answer lies within human nature, and its dark side.

Wonderfully depicting the pain of heart-breaking memories through a melancholic Neo-surrealist 'dream-like' tone, it is clear that Blaho is not only a visionary, but also an uprising filmmaker that deals with contemporary real-life issues.

On top of the plot line, the film is beautifully paired with an outstanding original score and sound design.

All of the above - but on a well-handled yet clearly restrictive micro-budget.

Interesting struggle with grief
juliagoldfinch10 February 2023
An engrossing sci-fi film, where two people struggle with their grief. It raises the question...can you trust someone to let go of a loved one who doesn't want to live?

Victor Blaho's obscure visions are wonderfully futuristic and dreamlike. The way he looks at the obsession of reliving memories is really clever. It's something people envisage all the time but to see memories played so intricately is interesting.

Particularly liked the actors playing Mia and Blair. Mia's confusion, realisation and questioning of what's going on is poignant and moving. Blair seems so disturbed and torn by her dilemma, moving from powerful to lost to disturbed.

A truly fantastic film.

An impressive feat for a first time director and production crew
asiasidokhine14 October 2022
Knowing this is the first feature film production for the director and most of the crew, it's an impressive accomplishment. The themes embody a collection from highly popular science fiction films and shows the consistent creativity and interesting new narrative that can be created from already established plot lines. I loved the actress playing Mia. Her ability to capture the moral dilemma of wanting to survive, but doing so for the wrong reasons is incredibly impressive. Her emotional range is truly visible. I must also praise the director who created some clearly meticulous cinematic images and really used his camera to capture not only the superficial, but also the implicit tragedy that plagues the protagonists in their want to return to how happy they were together, before they were torn apart.

Certainly Memorable
MrBickle_6 October 2022
Great Watch! The film chronicles a troubled journey into the altered consciousness of the protagonist, a modern version of the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, the human being's vain struggle to put the pieces back together when something breaks.

The film is both bold and thought-provoking. The director moves beyond the genre boundary, using the dystopian pretext of a controlling technology-but still controlled by a human antagonist-to depict the fragility of the mind, the inherent fallacy of memory and the irremediable clash between consciousness and pure feeling.

It has an ambitious narrative structure, which takes full advantage of the spaces, settings, and all the nuances of its protagonists to stage an abstract meditation on love and on the real, or virtual, possibility of memory, a fascinating and sick mental journey. Memories of Another tells the story of a true, intense, but tormented love from both inside and outside, told with grace and toughness and the sincerity of a warning: that some mistakes one makes in life, virtual reality or not, there is no way to fix.

Whatever your reason for wanting to see it, you will find before you a film capable of touching mind and heart, brilliant and cruel, and certainly memorable!

Fantastic

Excellent film, engrossing from the very beginning! The film is fantastically balanced between different genres, from sci-fi, drama to romance. The different elements of the film blend perfectly together! The influences of films like Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, Inception and even in my opinion black swan were evident however this film stands firmly on its two feet separate from its influences

The performances in the film are effective however not rammed down the audiences throats, much like the film as a whole there is a subtle nature to each performance

I know for certain we will be seeing more of the director in the future and personally I cannot wait to see what he conjures up next.

I attended the premiere for this movie and it was soooo good! It's such an interesting film that tackles sensitive issues in a dynamic way, This movie sparks conversations with friends which is what art and film is all about. It defo is giving Nolan vibes.

I can't wait to see more films from this director, I think we are gonna see more of him in the future! Solid and captivating watch. I am excited for the digital release so I can watch again with friends so we can discuss and dissect it! The score was beautiful as well. I wish it was on Spotify so I can listen to it again.

Highly highly recommend it. I was left on the edge of my seat eager to know what is next!

It was a wonderfull moment, i was inside this moovie the all time, and still after. The story plays with your eyes and your heart but you never know when there gonne be broken. The difference between the past and the present give us a good interpretation by the main character who had to change his mindset and also the girl when she knows what she knows. Thanks for this sensationnal moment that i will never forgot. The concept is very intresting and maybe people gonna ne judge like that in the future ? It was a good idea and i loved the glitch. Alwayls a pleasure to see a Blaho's moovie, and i'm hurry to see the next one.
