It's hard to know where our sympathies are supposed to lie in this one. It seems to be set up as small town folk against big business, yet the face of the common people is...Paul, the show's biggest bad guy, being as vicious and ruthless as ever, while the spokesman for the corporation is blue collar lawyer and family man Toadie.Expecting the audience to root for Paul seems a rather curious move and only the fact he's got Kyle in his corner stops him from being dismissed outright.Of course, Toadie's got Sonya in his corner and both of them come in for a lot of undeserved hatred.
In the middle of all this, we have a storyline about Rhys not doing the dishes and Jade messing up his shirt as a result. It doesn't really go anywhere and it's hard to sympathise with either character so not particularly engaging.
