This is an odd beast.

Well, to be honest, the documentary itself is both eye opening and heart breaking. It's well done and interesting. That said, the writer/producer responsible for it is a typical PC type who actively calls for support of many nations that practice exactly what this documentary is about. Kind of like Trump writing a movie about the horrors of being an illegal immigrant. I'd never say Pirate the film to avoid supporting the people behind it...........

A rare 10/10 documentary
I can not say i felt anywhere near as devastatingly sad at the cruelty and sheer evils of warmongering men. i was left floored at the trauma and pain inflicted upon each child - nearly all the women who were kidnapped, raped, beaten, tortured and mutilated were barely in their teens. The mindless cruelty of evil men and often boys as young as 12 years old who actually rip and tear the female flesh until the girls sometimes die simply due to the shock of pain. One 12 year old boy admits to the camera 'i have done some terrible terrible things to girls, cruel and evil mindless acts against women.'

The film is gut wrenching and must be served to educate and inform. It is a film with purpose. Compulsory viewing for those who have no idea about holocausts that are happening right now in the modern world.

Eye opener

It's a reality check to all who live their lives obliviously. After the shock it's time to think what can be done to stop and prevent that those atrocities are never done again!

Could Be About War in 2024
Lovelypupshaina9 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
This is an extremely disturbing reality of the horrors women experience in the time of war & the lack of responsibility men refuse to take after they have committed these crimes against girls who are Children at the time of the atrocities. I cannot get the one young girl out of my mind. After Being beaten and raped continuously while tied to a tree she is trying to have some semblance of a regular Life. She has had 8 unsuccessful surgeries to correct the fistulae's in her vagina. The men attacked her with all kinds of weapons causing irreparable Changes to her body. She barely walk. When the nun said you always look nice and smell good it indicates that the woman has not control over probably her bowel and bladder discharge From her body. The other memorable moments are one of the man being tried for his crimes while he laughed and smirked at the thought of him actually being punished when no one is being punished in fact there is mass corruption in cover ups of these men. The last view of a creepy middle aged man standing by his house in his boxers looking every bit of the loser he is got really angry when his old neighbor who was raped and tortured by him tried to ask him why he did not admit he knew her as a friend of the family he began yelling like a madman," I am not testifying"! When she returned to the car her entire body was shaking because she had the COURAGE to speak to this monster after 19 years of mental torture. The LOOK in her eyes said it all. PAIN, SHAME, All Loss of Dignity and Endless suffering.

Awe inspiring story of female strength and resilience
danaetsapikidou1 May 2022
I was left speechless at the amazing strength and resilience of the women portrayed in this documentary. Women in Rowanda and Sarajevo who sufferred horrific sexual crimes while in captivity during the war and yet they survived and they were able to begin their journey of healing and restoration. A must see for all women. I am surprised that there are so few reviews here and one is even negative, an unjust critique. It took a lot of effort and courage by those women to be able to get over their nightmares and they deserve our utmost respect and admiration.

poorly written and done
edjas28 March 2020
A very shallow film about rape and mutilation without any understanding and detail on the causes.interviews of various women go back and forth in a poorly organized way, disjointed way etc.In Rwanda for instance, what were the causes of the war and hatred? you ll never know from this film. the women were raped ,terrible for sure. what happened to the men? Oh, they were killed! what can be done to prevent rape in war? really!!! how about what can be done to prevent war! if these "soldiers", fighters treated both men and women the same there would have been no rapes, they would have just killed them all. the question is WAR. and how to stop it. never talked about in this film.
