Conscience Review
vertigo123-275-70240225 January 2012
I just received my DVD today of Conscience. I just viewed the film today at my home. The film is supplied with workbench victimization; a type of basement torture, and a lot of hardware to use on the people that deserve revenge and those who do not deserve death. The main character does not have a conscience so this idea works well throughout the film. Christopher Kahler also gives an exceptional brief performance. He is very believable as the bouncer at the club. He has exceptional mannerisms. The subtlety of his acting is what I remember. The victim at the most part is the killer. The entire film has a clear, sharp, satiric feel which I like. The film regards a male lifestyle with a clever twist on cerebral revenge. The film is written and directed with a tight appreciation of mise en scene. It is directed by a woman that could deal with males everyday in life like the student and the victim. It is a seamless fusion of horror; comedy and terror. I highly recommend it. It is an excellent thriller.

Review for 'Conscience' by Skinny Cow Productions

Warning: Spoilers
Starting this movie, I worried this might be a gore fest from end to end (I guess the production stills were misleading). To my pleasant surprise, there was a rather unique storyline and memorable characters fit neatly in a fun romp into madness. For me personally, I was actually a bit sympathetic for every character, no matter their fate. When the person you assume to be the arch villain appears to be over the top, it pays off in the end.

There seam to be some sound quality difficulties, and some of the dialog seemed a little clunky, but the tongue in cheek humor and wit was more than redeeming.

I give it 3 stars! (or chainsaws, or something.)
