WWE has a habit of looking to other promotions for talent at times. Though they’ve succeeded at building their own stars, more often than not, their biggest draws started off somewhere else before making it big in WWE. Examples include Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, Daniel Bryan, and Seth Rollins, among countless others.
Today’s WWE, in particular, appears to rely heavily on foreign stars to bring in viewers. With the notable exceptions of John Cena, Randy Orton, Sheamus and Roman Reigns, the overwhelming majority of WWE’s most important draws in the last decade made a reputation for themselves elsewhere and were offered big money contracts to perform in WWE.
Given this approach, many people have wondered how certain wrestlers would’ve done if they had signed with WWE. For every ‘outside’ wrestler that WWE does sign, there are two others that they might sign...

Booker T believes that WWE Tough Enough will be back for another season, whether on the USA Network or WWE Network.
The coach for the most recent season appeared on the Wrestling Compadres podcast recently and said that if the show does return, he hopes that the format changes:
“Let the host or whoever the judges [are] actually vote the guy off because we are actually looking for the next Tough Enough winner, not the next reality [show] superstar.”
In the format of the show this year, it was the judges (Daniel Bryan, Paige and Hulk Hogan then Miz) that chose the bottom three and then the fans voted them off. Since Booker and the other coaches (Billy Gunn and Lita) actually see the contestants training, they should be the deciding vote on who gets eliminated. However, WWE likes having the fans vote as a way to make the show more interactive.

The 2015 season of WWE Tough Enough is over and the winners are Josh Bredl of Thornton, Colorado and Sara Lee of Hope, Michigan.
Triple H was on hand to present Sara and Josh with checks of $250,000 as well as one year developmental contracts with WWE.
Josh beat out Zz in the voting with 70% of the vote while Zz had 30% of the vote. Throughout the competition, Zz was the most popular competitor and was able to avoid elimination due to his strong connection with the audience. However, Josh gained steam throughout the season and was clearly the superior performer out of the final two guys.
In the vote to determine the female winner, Sara won with 64% compared to 36% for Amanda. It was pretty obvious that a lot of WWE people liked Amanda more because she’s a blonde fitness model with a great body and was solid in the ring,...

WWE Tough Enough is currently in its fifth season, airing each Tuesday night on the USA Network. The show is a mix of pre-taped footage from the previous week, and a live elimination ceremony similar to American Idol. Contestants live at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Fl, and go through weekly challenges outside of the center while learning the basics of wrestling in the center. Their trainers are Billy Gunn, Lita and Booker T. They are then judged by the live panel of judges, consisting of Daniel Bryan and Paige. Hulk Hogan was originally the third judge, but after the racism scandal, he was replaced by The Miz, although it’s unclear whether it’s a permanent replacement or not. The judges each pick one contestant to be eligible to be eliminated (each judge has a save per season), and the viewers vote on who they want to stay.

The schedule for E Network was sent out via a press release today and with it comes news for the fourth season of WWE’s hit reality show on the E Network: Total Divas. For the previous three seasons, the show aired on Sunday nights. Starting on July 7 it’s moving to Tuesday nights at 9pmET/8pmCT.
A Tuesday night airing of Total Divas is interesting because WWE Tough Enough will start two weeks earlier on June 23 on USA Network at 8pmET/7pmCT. That means there will be two WWE shows back to back on two different networks. Both of them are part of the NBC Universal family of networks, so it’s not an accident that they are airing back to back.
WWE must be happy with the move because in past seasons when the show was on Sundays there would be weeks where it competed with live WWE PPV events.

We are a couple of weeks removed, now, from WrestleMania, and we are heading towards WWE’s next PPV, Extreme Rules. The WWE product hasn’t really changed a great deal since a month ago, except for Brock Lesnar no longer being WWE Champion and taking time-off, and different feuds being underway. Mostly though, on television, it’s the same players in many of the same set-ups. Let’s see how tonight plays out, shall we?

"WWE Tough Enough" will be revived for a second time, once again by USA Network, which announced the reality competition's return this morning at TCA. The show has had a long history: following three seasons on MTV, it aired a fourth season as a $1 million competition that was integrated into WWE's "SmackDown." After a six-year break, it returned to USA for a fifth season in 2010, but then was cancelled. There were reports last year that it might return on WWE network, but nothing materialized. Now, five years later, USA is again bringing it back again. Its return makes sense, and it's a natural fit for USA. The network also airs "WWE Raw," so there's already a built-in audience of pro wrestling fans. The last time USA broadcast the series, they aired it on Monday nights after wrestling. Many of the contestants from its various seasons have gone on to be part of WWE programs,...

The Choice: Cat Deeley hosts The Choice, the new celebrity dating game show with a twist premiering Thursday, June 7 (9:00-10:00 Pm Et/Pt) on Fox. 2012 Fox Broadcasting Co. Cr: Mathieu Young/Fox
Under a new rhyming scheme spin-off model for new shows, you’ll soon be able to watch The Choice, and see celebrities submit themselves to a blind date experiment. It’s The Voice‘s “no see” format, but now eligible celebrities are choosing potential romantic partners.
It’s bound to be crazy, and some of the “celebrities” only have loose ties to the claim, but it certainly looks to be the sort of madness people will check out.
Is this show too much? Let me know your thoughts. This falls into a category of reality that I find hard to predict, and I’d love to know if people are looking forward to it.
