I have to admit i got slightly agitated by Chadlington's locals but that's just because i'm a fan of the show Clarkson's Farm. I've watched The Grand Tour and further back i watched Top Gear throughout my teenage years. So as you can probably guess i am a fan of Jeremy Clarkson in general.
So when i watched this episode and heard about the locals of Chadlington having disapproval of Jeremy's restaurant and some having disapproval of him as a farmer it annoyed me, they sounded jealous and miserable. Then said, they do have a point. When you move to a quiet village you want a quiet village. The popularity by Jeremy and the show has railed in thousands of tourists, which the first season being a big hit means it's not going to stop.
So i get it, the locals want peace and quiet and Jeremy wants to create a community. It's trying to connect both dilemmas together which is the real challenge here. Although for some of the paperwork Jeremy was going through, some of the complaints towards him were i have to say pitiful.
It's not about the locals not wanting to bring people together, they just don't want a tourist attraction that will ruin Chadlington's peace. I get that.
