Amidst the breathtaking vistas of the Alps, a boom operator faced an unexpected emotional crisis. However, displaying incredible resilience, the director's mother, an inspiring 72-year-old lady standing at 5'2'', stepped in to save the day. Taking hold of the boom for the remainder of the scorching day, she persevered while the boom operator indulged in some sunbathing to regain his emotional balance.
In this remarkable no-budget production, the resourceful team went to great lengths to bring a crane to Germany. The director's brother Martin Hettinger, ingeniously maneuvered the crane through the sunroof of his BMW, allowing for its transportation to the filming location in the Bavarian Alps, Germany.
Richard Amaro, Ms. Hettinger's Flamenco dance partner in the dance rehearsal scene in the movie, performed the same Flamenco number with Ms. Hettinger in Broadways' Latin Rhythms, which he also choreographed.
Drama Desk award winner and Broadway star/ composer Ed Dixon wrote the song "Flowers and Lies" for Marianne Hettinger which she played on the piano and sang in the movie. Mr. Dixon used to be her beloved singing teacher.
Jose Solano, the dancer performing a Bolero with lead actor/ director Marianne Hettinger in the beginning of the film as well as the Salsa at the end of the movie, performed with Ms. Hettinger on Broadway in Richard Amaro's "Broadway's Latin Rhythms" show.
