Great up until Episode 10
katcarajenncy5 July 2022
The story between the lead characters unfolds so beautifully up until Episode 10. The first 10 Episodes are a light hearted office romance with an interesting twist to it. The 2 lead characters have their charm and fun, but once the plot unfolds and they start dating, the drama completely looses all of its interesting charm... Such a disappointing ending... No idea why they decided to end things like that. The 2 lead characters are unrecognisable at the end. And one thing I want to make clear: fighting for fun and saying things like "now we really are breaking up" pretty much on a daily basis just to hurt the other person is not romantic or loving at all and quite THE OPPOSITE. It is awful to wanting to hurt your other half like that. So I am very disappointed that the writers decided to end it like this... Again: Up until Episode 10 I really enjoyed this drama. But well, just forget Episode 11 and 12.

Wasted potential
mikkiparker30 June 2022
I was absolutely whipped for this drama when it first started. The chemistry between the FL and ML was terrific. I used to look forward to new episodes. However, I wasn't a fan when the ML and FL started dating and their personalities changed a lot. ML, who was known for his cold gaze and strict behavior suddenly acted like a school boy. I would've been happier if their dating was written differently...more subtle changes rather than throwing it all the at viewer's face.

Another thing I don't understand is the recent trend of inserting murder mystery and/or crime into a storyline. It felt out of place and absolutely unnecessary, especially for episodes 11 and 12. The story wouldn't be so good if it was 'just' an office romance with a sparkle of supernatural. The last two episodes made me feel like I was watching a completely different drama.

I still liked the drama as a whole but the more episodes I watched, the more my interest decreased. The writing had a lot of potential in the early stages but somewhere around episode 7, it started to go downhill. Overall, I hate to say it's an okay drama. The ending felt rushed and could've been executed better.

good except the last episode
brerbuddha26 April 2023
I liked it. Except i think they botched the last episode. I dont want to give it away but it doesnt make sense and leaves a weird feeling. It would not stop me from recommending the show but be ready for some weirdness. Inlike the premise. The other love stories are also fun. There is a bit much going on for everybody to have the conversations they need to have. But again the sudden sourness at the end without any wise ones to help is unusual for the many korean shows inhave watched. And its too bad. Our couple deserved better. Thats all i can say. And now for 30 morr characters i can say this .

Good story lost its way
whiteknight-9161527 August 2023
I really enjoyed the series right up until the last episode. The last episode is so different from all previous episodes I'm convinced it was written by a completely different writing team. It wasn't just that it was a bad ending, but the whole vibe of the show seem to change. I don't know if they had intended to do four additional episodes, and then we're forced to shorten it to 12, or what the underlying reason was for the substantial change to the overall story and the last episode was. It's unfortunate, as I thought it was a pretty well done show up to that point. I can see that several other reviewers have made similar comments.

Starts really good, lulls and then departs from what made it compelling

Warning: Spoilers
8/10 is my rating. Is a 2022 South Korean Supernatural Romantic Comedy with 12, 60-75 minute episodes.

First I will provided a synopsis the review.

Synopsis

Hong Ye-sool (Seo Ji-hye) is a hard working unit lead in an advertising agency. She works so hard she gets nose bleeds and is accident prone but still her boss, Cha Min-hoo (Yoon Kye-sang) nit picks every project she works on. Others think he shows favoritism to her and gives her the best opportunities. Their situation is very confusing to Ye-sool who just wants to get ahead in her career in a very competitive industry. Her personal life is a mess as she has a sixth sense that allows her to see the future when her lips touch another person. Specifically, she can see the future surrounding herself and that person but not when the event will happen. When she accidentally kisses her boss, she is beyond confused when she sees a future where they are together romantically. With the way he treats her on a daily basis, that vision does not make any sense to Ye-sool. While she is reeling from confusion her ex-boyfriend, famous director Lee Pil-yo (Kim Ji-seok) shows up hoping for a second chance with the woman he still has feelings for. But she has seen her future with him and it was the reason she broke up in the first place. All of this leads her to wonder is she seeing the future that will inevitably happen or are the action she takes as a result of her visions the cause of that future?

Review I really liked the premise of this. Kissing someone or having your lips touch someone and seeing the future - that pulled me in. And he has some kind of super sensory super-power? I though wow! What's that all about. And the first episodes where he was the overly mean boss, she had ended relationships based on things she was in the future, and they are in this high powered add agency, all of that was very interesting. And it was clear they would get together but, in those earliest episodes, it was hard to imagine how. He was over the top mean to her at times. It reminded me of that old idiom about the boy who picks on the girl liking her. I don't subscribe to that because anyone that acts like that to me is too immature to be worth anyone's time. I really liked her ex-boyfriend, Pil-yo, and could not understand why she seemed to be leaning toward her mean, demanding boss. Slice of life is always interesting to me and getting some insight into what it is like to be a lead on a big add project was something I had not seen before. So there were a lot of things to pull me in and reasons to recommend others watch it. The male lead could be very attractive at times and, when he was being nice it made him more attractive, I thought. But, of the two I thought Pil-yo was more attractive and it was likely due to the fact he seemed to be consistently nice.

Spoilers*

Early in the series, Ye-sool was this kind, competent woman who was friendly and liked by her co-workers it seemed. The set mishaps and all the accidents between the two leads that triggered her visions and his super sensory were interesting. The way he completely avoided her was amusing. When we got the back-story of her break-up I thought, even though, but how does she know she can't change that future? I also thought perhaps it wasn't what she thought it was. Maybe he is just around a woman with a child but it's not his. When it came out later that was indeed the case and that he had waited three years to prove to her that things weren't what she thought they were, it was heart breaking. I had serious second lead syndrome. But usually there is something that makes you think her choice was the better one, at least for her. But in this case, I never saw anything about him or their relationship that indicated she made the better choice. He was consistently sweet and awesome to her. I liked and could tell there was something developing between him and the actress. They had that playful flirty energy going on. And I actually found that story more heart-warming than the main story. I also liked her cousin and the doctor and found their relationship very believable and cute. I found myself wanting to know more about those side romances than the main romance. I liked their secret romance at work and all the signals they came up with that used his special abilities. That was cute and funny. But then they really drove her whole vision of Ye-sool and Min-hoo having a steamy sexual encounter into the dirt. It made no sense to me that, after all the build-up, they had already been together before that happened. Then, the fact they went to so much effort to create all the circumstances surrounding it, to effectively make her vision come true was weird. It became like a fetish between them. And added nothing to the story at that point.

I agree with others that said the whole killer angel was put in awkwardly. There were so many ways they could have had a tragic accident in the past that would have given them abilities that some super stalker just seemed unnecessary. If they had kept that as an element the whole time, all these creepy encounters or something it would have been different, but it felt like they basically threw elements of it in at random junctures. Logic did not follow that this man would have killed her husband and she would choose to hide the details from her daughter. She knew he was not only obsessed with her but also delusional in thinking Ye-sool was his daughter. So the fact that he was able to stay so close to Ye-sool as a friend/confidant did not make sense. There was also the instance where they moved into a new house and Ye-sool was lost and that is how she met Min-hoo and most would assume they made this sudden move to get away from the stalker but that was never stated. And they spent very little time showing him actually stalking them before he is just suddenly in the house and murders the dad. So then they go to the USA but there is nothing about how that was significant or why and when Ye-sool came back. Lots of disjointed elements around the whole stalker story.

There were also character inconsistencies. Ye-sool goes from this somewhat demure, kind person that gets along with everyone to some unreasonable harpy after they start dating. She picks fights with him and seems to enjoy serial break-ups. They were so sweet together when they were younger that relationship built on constant conflict did not make any sense. They both were so careful about how they presented themselves in the office that their very public fights and shows of affection made no sense. It was funny on one hand but very disturbing on the other. It would be completely inappropriate behavior for any workplace and their big boss seemed to have very strict standards for professional behavior. I felt embarrassed for them and uncomfortable for their co-workers. She also became this hyper critical, mean-spirited lead and that did not make sense with her earlier character. She hated when Min-hoo was that way with her so for her to "grow up" as a leader and act like that made all the build-up earlier non-sensical. The fact they are both so hard to work with they can hardly find a director, you wouldn't last long in their profession if that was the case.

It was the first time I felt like rooting for a couple to split. Their constant fighting, breaking up and getting back together made for such a toxic relationship I felt like just quit it already. It was funny but cringy because anyone that acts like that should not be with the other person. On the plus side it did help me get over the second lead syndrome because I felt happy for him he escaped the completely toxic harpy. I did not feel she was fair to him anyway, if she loved Pil-yo as she indicated earlier, you would not have let something like that break you up. You would have tried to change that future or at least talked to him about it. They also did not give us much build up with them as a couple. We only saw a few snippets of them together happy then some crazy break-up.

My daughter read the web toon and said they deviated quite a bit from that. It isn't always bad they do that but, in this case, the deviations made less sense and made the story less engaging. In the webtoon she was always nice she said. It was a traffic accident that brought them together. Just a lot of things she said that made the story less grating. So, I think it would be worth reading the webtoon for comparison.

I recommend this just not as a top recommendation. It is interesting and has its high points but don't expect the romance to be heart-warming. Like seriously, at minimum they need a couple's counselor.

Average show

Warning: Spoilers
A shame as a missed opportunity - horrible writing by the end as we have main leaders almost killing each other. I don't think we need a sweet happy ending but don't want to see people hurting each other and completely changing who they were, it gives a weird message that you make your own fate by staying with whoever and being crazy unhappy.

Clearly the writer was going through a bad breakup at the time and decided to ruin it for everyone else.

The plot is kinda of interesting but the story is messy and makes no sense, I skipped a few bits by the end as I just wanted it to end.

Avoid this show.

Male lead is.......
mozzmck-7798529 June 2022
I love love loved this show! Cannot understand comments re the male lead being old, he (Yoon Kye Sang) is charming, charismatic and just a wee bit sexy. Chemistry between the two leads is sizzling and I loved the craziness of the last n20 mins of the final episode . Thought the storyline was fine and all the other actors played their respective roles well but hats off to the two lead actors, they both played their roles brilliantly.

So good then it turned awful really quickly
Bibiliography5 November 2022
I understand this is based on a webtoon series that underwent major changes for this drama. First off, that ending was a whole load of cr*p. In fact, the essence of the fantastical love story was lost by episode 6 and all that was left were three story arcs that never managed to converge into any meaningful finale. My god, wtf happened to the writer? For a series to open so solidly and with such sizzling chemistry between the two main leads only to have it cave in on itself is astonishing. Why would the ML suddenly do a 180 just because he got laid and why was the FL written as a shrew? I lowkey hated both of them by the end of the series. If you want a nice romcom with great chemistry between the leads then please watch 'Well Intended Love' or 'You Are My Glory'.

The reason I finished this series bcuz of the story it's based on the navel it's actually pretty good. They did a really good job choosing the right actors for this one. Nice.

Genuine Joy
Was a fan of the Webtoon, big fan of the show. Yes there were changes but all were sensible, for a good reason and made it better. This show brought me so much joy and genuine happiness.

From Webtoon to K-Drama
elbehar24 July 2023
I rarely give out a 10 rating, but this had everything to make me want to see it in one day.

For 10 episodes I forgot everything and everyone around me. I couldn't stop from watching. I even stopped watching the other Dramas I had been watching lately.

The characters and story line are great. There's a little bit of mistery, lots of laughs, little bit of drama... everything you need to pass a great moment.

Yoon Kye-sang is just absolutely breathtaking so much more than when he was in Chocolate. In this Drama we can finally see a softer side of Seo Ji-hye (contrast to her cold character in Crash Landing on You).

Makes me want to read the Webtoon.

Truly enjoyed
edwards_trina-560-69063416 December 2022
I truly enjoyed this show. It had laughs up to the very end. The stalker dude got on my nerves. It's still crazy to me that there are actual people like that in real life. I enjoyed the main couples journey. I truly appreciate how they didn't tie up the happy ending with a bow making it seem like everything was perfect and all Happily Ever After. Seemed like a more realistic reaction to the conclusion. The second couple had me rolling. How petty was the doctor though? Lol. If you learn nothing else from this, it's definitely to clear up misunderstandings and keeping secrets from a child is waaay different than keeping secrets from adults and can have horrible repercussions. Please watch if you're looking for a good laugh.

Not Good Enough
PennyReviews23 March 2023
Korean Drama " Kiss Sixth Sense " is a office romantic comedy with a fantasy twist.

The drama utilizes the trope of the strict boss-bright and sunny employee to its fullest, in addition to giving them a common background with their fantasy subplot that connected them together from the begining. That fantasy element was also what gave the romance a head start, though that was awkwardly handled. The love story, overall, was messily paced and used a lot of cheese tropes to support it, even having a love triangle to spice things up. However, the second lead had more chemistry with the female second lead and they seemed better as a couple. As for the fantasy part, it was thrilling at first, but got boring and overused after a while.

Finally, the performances were enjoyable from everyone in the cast.

So, overall, three out of ten.

Stop at episode 3
zinemamoviemedia4 June 2022
Weak romance, nothing fun, and no clear plot direction in the first episode make me decide to stop it. It is deeply regretted because this series have interesting premise. And of course this is also very boring.

How this can get a 7.2, a 6 is high enough
Kdramaavid20 May 2023
I watched kdrama a lot but somehow this one really was not something I can watch, it is very shallow story line yet a waste of talents since the actors ML,FL, 2nd teams I know are good actors but somehow it is really bad writing or something I can't pin point. They try to stretch something that can be done in 8 episodes but even dragging it to 12 episodes didn't help. I can only watched it until episode 7 and struggled if I should continue or not, so I stopped and hopefully can go back later to see what happened at the end. So help me understand why it got a 7.2, imdb has been very consistent with my own rating, this is the 1st one that failed me.:(

Seo Ji Hye looks lovely but the story drags
phd_travel10 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Seo Ji Hye of Crash Landing looks especially lovely in this series that CLOY fans will want to check out. However the series is flawed. First of all the plot isn't sufficient for the 12 episodes so many boring and unnecessary scenes make this series draggy. At first the sense of seeing the future seems quite interesting but it isn't enough to sustain interest. The humor is often painful and the overacting by some cast members is hard to watch. Later on things liven up in the last 2 episodes with the villain and back story which should have been shown earlier.

The casting of the other actors isn't good. The lead actor Yoon Kye Sang and her don't look right together. He is taller than her but not by enough. Since she is tall she needs a substantially taller co star. And more significantly he looks too old for her. Other actors that age could pull it off like Song Seung Heon did in Dinner Mate but not YKS. There is a lot of kissing for a K drama and the talk of sleeping together is quite mature. Maybe if the lead actor had better chemistry with her it would have given some spark to the show. The supporting characters are kind of strange looking. The musical score is inappropriate to the story.

Only for fans of Seo Ji Hye.
