Fabienne, a woman of a certain age is going through a difficult time in her life. For all appearances, she is facing the onset of Alzheimer's disease, a horrible condition that even in her case is hard to take, much less understand. Fabienne has it all, or so it seems, but when she disappears from her home one day, she embarks on a trip that exposes her to an uncomprehending world that has no clue of what she is going through.

This French television movie, directed by Elisabeth Rappeaneau, deals with the ordeal Fabienne is facing and the dangers she encounters as she goes away from her family, wanting to spare them of the terrible times ahead. The screenplay is by Catherine Ramberg, and based on a novel by Fabienne Piel. In a way, the film points out to a possible connection between the disease and a traumatic experience she endured as a teenager. Those traumas usually point to the way medical conditions such as what Fabienne must face are interrelated.

Ms. Rappeneau keeps things under control. Clementine Celarie, an actress with a long career in French television and films is seen as Fabienne. Daniel Russo plays Paul, the petty criminal who sees and opportunity to take advantage of Fabienne's condition.
