Seventeen B-25 bombers collected for the 68th Doolittle Reunion in 2010. At that time, the largest gathering of B-25s since WWII.
The B-25 "Miss Mitchell" has one of the best safety and maintenance records of WWII bombers in the world.
When "Miss Mitchell" arrived in Ohio, she didn't land at Grimes Field first. Before that, she landed on the main runway at Wright Patterson AFB. After landing, MPs swarmed, hopping out of their jeeps with M-16 rifles. They then shouldered their weapons and began taking pictures of themselves in front of the antique bomber.
