Sex & Nudity

  • Nothing graphic is shown although sex is implied throughout the series. The intro song has a brief scene showing a woman's bottom.
  • Episode 6-7 No nudity whatsoever.
  • Episode 8-9: A short scene showing a woman in a sensual position, though nothing is shown, it is implied that she wants to have a sexual relationship or is awaiting sex. Nothing graphic.
  • Episode 10-12: No nudity

Violence & Gore

Profanity

  • Two uses of "whore" and one use of "bitch" in the official subtitles.
  • A few "idiots" here and there and the antagonist basically wants to "kill" others. Nothing strong to the ear.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Nothing out of the ordinary.
  • One character is shown smoking something but it is basically a "smoke weapon" to hurt the protagonist rather than for enjoyment.
  • Some characters may ask for a sake or two. (Japanese alcoholic drink)

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The premise is really creepy.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Sex & Nudity

  • Episode 1-2: The arc shows no explicit nudity but the plot is situated around an inn that used to be a brothel where abortions were carried out. No nudity whatsoever.
  • Episode 3-5: Revolves around a relationship between a man and his sister. No nudity in general.

Violence & Gore

  • The protagonist eventually kills the antagonist with a spirit like sword. Blood can be seen where a character is cut or hurt. Nothing too gory but some scenes of the later arc does show people being murdered and blood sprayed all over, (but the colour is usually a darker shade of orange, implying it to be blood to keep the death scenes somewhat realistic but no unnecessary spills)

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The series is basically a psychological horror anime that makes use of facial expressions, creepy background music and a tense environment to scare the audience. The overall impact can be frightening but no jump scares.
