- A special agent's plans to reconcile with his ex-fiancé are ruined when she boards a private jet that is targeted by hijackers working for the same crime lord that he is chasing.
- "The Tribe" is a terrorist organization causing war in the Gaza strip. The US has assigned the CIA to monitor the group. The tribe gets it funding from arms trading in Europe & drugs trafficking across the world. Bruce Lieb is the billionaire CEO of Lieb industries, which has huge interests in the Hydrocarbons industry. Lieb has been personally called to appear in NY by the Securities and Exchange Commission to answer for charges of Insider trading. It was alleged that Lieb delayed announcement of a large Uranium find to the markets while he bought back stock of the company from the market, leading to huge personal gains for Lieb himself. Lieb is having a 20-year business anniversary party in Paris before departing for NYC. Joe Ballard & Mike are CIA agents protecting the party from The Tribe. Joe's MI6 liaison's (Ross) ex-girlfriend Liz is at the party & is a journalist.
Ross calls Joe & says that French intelligence has informed that there is a meeting of The Tribe in Paris that night & "The Boss" is likely to be there. Joe & Ross decide to raid the meeting. At the meeting Joe finds a Brunette woman tied to a chair, who had flirted with him earlier in the party. A firefight erupts killing many militants. At the end, the girl ends up shooting Joe & escaping.
Michelle is Lieb's sister. The next morning Lieb sets a meeting with Liz & Michelle is not happy with the same. Lieb hires Liz to do some PR work in light of the SEC hearing. Liz advice Lieb to take all his biggest contributors to NY for PR. Lieb readies his private Boeing 747 & Liz, along with the contributors are on board.
Ross meets Lieb on the plane before takeoff & tells him that intelligence suggests that The Tribe is after Lieb & that there is high risk of an incident happening on that flight. Lieb has no choice but to fly due to the SEC hearing. He requests Ross to join his security crew on board. Ross agrees when he finds that Liz is also on board the flight.
Mid way through the flight, Michelle enters the cargo hold & releases 3 armed gunmen from her private car. One of the attackers says that Michelle wants her pound of Lieb's empire before he goes down. The brunette who killed Joe is also among the armed gunmen. The co-pilot is also in on the scheme and on Michelle's signal he hits the captain of the flight & takes control. The gunmen start taking out the occupants of the flight 1 by 1.
They round up the remaining occupants including Michele & Ross into an isolated cabin. Bruce is locked into a titanium bunker inside the plane with no access. The access to the bunker is controlled by Lieb's head of security Rothwell. Southwell is shot by the gunmen & he triggers an alarm that locks the bunker.
The gunmen declare their intention to steal Lieb's wealth. They use Michelle as leverage to try and force Lieb to transfer 2.73 BN $ to a numbered account in Geneva. Lieb resists, so the lead gunman shoots Michelle in the head.
While Lieb starts to liquidate his cash holdings, Ross & Southwell overpower one of the gunmen & rescue the hostages. A game of cat & mouse begins as the gunmen hunt for the rescued hostages & Ross & Southwell capture the brunette assassin, who reveals that there is a bomb on the plane which will blow up 20 mins after the plane hits 20,000 ft.
Lieb gets his CFO to transfer the money by giving him instructions over video conference. As soon as the money is transferred, the lead gunman instructs the co-pilot to drop below 20,000 ft, triggering the bomb counter for 20 mins. The hijackers plan to escape via parachutes, which Ross & Southwell have in their custody.
Ross overpowers the lead gunman when he comes looking for the parachutes. Southwell overpowers the co-pilot by over-riding the security system & entering the cockpit. Southwell then revives the captain who contacts ATC. Ross gets the brunette assassin to disarm the bomb. An explosion in Lieb's titanium bunker distracts everyone, which the lead gunman takes advantage of & escapes. Ross kills him with a knife, after the gunman attacks & badly injures Southwell. The plane is landed by the captain & the remaining perpetrators arrested.
Post investigation, Ross concludes that the only reason Lieb hired Liz was because he wanted him on the plane. In fact, Lieb was never in the plane himself. He was only ever spoken to via a video conference. Everyone who knew of Lieb's activities was on that plane including Michelle, his lawyer & his CFO. The plane was never supposed to land. Lieb himself was the leader of the Tribe. He used the hijacking & the ransom demand to hide the 2.73 BN $ that he had laundered from Lieb industries to The Tribe accounts. Ross vows to hunt Lieb down.
