It's incredible how this anime manages to funny and entertaining as hell in just six episodes total when overblown and overrated crap like King of Braves Gaogaigar or Turn A Gundam squander everything in half their runtime or even in a couple of episodes already. It makes fun of mecha conventions, of older shows like the awful Golion King of Beasts or Macross and they even include an homage to the (more serious) masterpiece Ideon: Be Invoked, an homage FAR better made than the hamfisted one Hideki Anno made in the abortive End of Evangelion. AWESOME! Why the hell this true gem of mecha animation is not talked more, I can't honestly understand it. Thank you Megumi Hayashibara, without the intro of this show in one of your albums I would have even known this series in the first place. HIGHLY and I mean HIGHLY recommended.
