A lot has changed for Wicky since the Ice cream parlour incident, he now wears glasses, sports and earring, and has a girlfriend, Jules, one that doesn't want him drinking, his challenge couldn't be tougher, an assignment in a pub.
One of 2021's best shows, I have anticipated this second series quite a lot, and this first episode did not disappoint.
Wicky has definitely changed on the surface, but he's still the same underneath, he gets a life lesson here from Lisa, and learns several lessons on life and love.
Funny laugh out loud, funny as in cringe funny, and quite moving at times too, odd couples galore, I thought the story of unrequited love was very well done, and the twist at the end was not one I saw coming.
Dame Harriet Walter, she's just gold, she can do no wrong, but she and Davies were outdone I thought by Charlie Rawes, I think I've only ever seen the big man play thugs and villains, he was phenomenal, hopefully we see more from his going forward, the guy was terrific.
Wicky, you've been missed.
8/10.
