Interesting but very repetitive
Nyneke3 June 2022
One involved person says something then the next says the same, in only slightly different words. They even repeat some clips. Could have easily been 20 min episodes.

Meet Marry Murder a long series
Some episodes are more interesting than others. Being British the U. K. stories I could relate to more. You have to invest a lot of time into a season that have 26 episodes each at 40mins long. I found Season 1 better than Season 2 although the episodes can get repetitive with the same photographs been shown over and over and the interviews. Judy Ho a psychologist contributor is absolutely gorgeous and Jane Monckton Smith the criminologist are the only contributors I can remember. Without reconstructions like in Banged up Abroad it can get tedious but I watched the whole season but it took me an age. Recommended for sure biy maybe that running time should be 30mins max per episode.

Trigger warning: professional ignorance on abusive relationships
tashkeegan17 February 2023
Commenting here only to warn those who have been in any form of abusive relationships.

Unfortunately, of the two episodes I watched, there was significant ignorance in the professionals interviewed in their understanding of abusive relationships. In particular, why the victims stay. They appear to be looking for logical reasons rather than understanding the manipulation and the extremely damaging effects it can cause.

This series appears to be for titillation rather than education or to better the poor situations so many find themselves in, through no fault of their own. Go ahead and watch but please don't use this as an example of how victims should be spoken of.

Interesting...however,
twin-chaos8 February 2024
I prefer this "Meet, Marry, Murder" series over the other series of the same title with Michelle Trachtenberg. I do like that there's a combination of US and UK cases, many of which I have not previously heard about.

Many of the cases are interesting...HOWEVER, a few of the "experts" are overly dramatic and unnecessary. Why, why, why is Carolyn Canville, the journalist not speaking to the audience, but looking off sideways? It's beyond distracting and quite annoying. Also, Brian Harris, the former police officer constantly repeats himself, again very annoying. These "experts" add nothing to the show when the actual narrator is able to explain the cases in a much more reasonable tone and manner.

Good stories but the editing is horrible
dannyrevolution18 March 2024
I love true crime shows, so I was excited to start this series. I do like how they make awareness of domestic abuse for both men and women. The stories themselves are pretty interesting and intriguing. The narrator has a good voice and there's a good mix of British and American stories. The thing is, all of the "experts" are annoying. The editing job makes them look bad. They repeat themselves over and over again. Why do we need to hear from a criminologist and journalist talk about the same thing over and over again? It also doesn't help that the same experts are in every episode and they talk like they know the people intimately when in reality they're probably just reading cue cards.

sophiefarr-457176 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Pwwaaar! The son!!

He is totally enraged me throughout the entire episode, he is either as evil as his dad or brainwashed!!

Throughout the episode he continues to victimise his own mother for being murdered by her abusive husband because she tried to get away for so long and she was eventually living her life and finally becoming free!!

How many seasons?

I've been watching this on YouTube. I like it. But have to take breaks because of it being so disturbing. But I guess I've watched all the ones on YouTube. Which is also disturbing. I just wondered if they were making anymore of them.
