Don't mind the ridiculous title
cile-chan25 February 2023
After watching the trailer and after seeing the promotional posters, I honestly thought "My cuteness is about to expire" (yeah that's the literal title lol) was going to be one of those overtly cheesy and cringey Japanese romance drama... well, I was wrong.

I really had fun with this one as it had the right amount of comedy and romance, it's also been a while since I've watched an office-setting series. The main leads had butterfly-inducing chemistry and I really liked that it was a sunshine x raincloud pairing... just the romance trope I'll never get tired of.

Glad to have checked this one out on Viki.

Cute show for what it is

Warning: Spoilers
8/10 is my rating. This is a 2022 Japanese Romantic comedy with 9, 30 minute episodes. Japanese title: "Ore No Kawaii wa Mousugu Shohikigen?"

Few people stay cute, pretty, and/or super attractive forever. Still, it came as a surprise to 29 year old Maruya Kosuke (Yamada Ryosuke) when a stranger pointed out he would not be cute forever. Sanada Izumi (Yoshine Kyoko) is a brilliant data analyst and was an ace product developer but her inability to manage others resulted in her taking the blame for others.

Review

It is worth the watch for how cute Maruya Kosuke is. There isn't enough to it that I would watch it again. It ends nebulous with a question as to their status as a couple. It not an unhappy ending just not a very well wrapped up ending.

Beer has an expiration date
alaningle731 October 2022
Marryat Kosuke (Yamada Ryosuke) works in the sales department of a beer company and has experienced success all his life due to his cute looks. Sanada Izumi (Yoshine Kyoko) is a shy introverted researcher who for personal reasons is transferred to the department. One day a stranger approaches Kosuke and tells him his cuteness has an expiration date and his future will soon change because of this. At first he does everything he can to retain his looks but becomes sidetracked when he realises he may have feelings for this aloof fellow worker. With ten thirty minute episodes it is soon completed and I found it an easy watch. Actors and cast are good enough to hold your attention as each episode gently progresses.
