Some voice actors from the Cinélume dub of Winx Club (2004) appear in this show as well. Holly Gauthier-Frankel, who voices Flora and Lockette in Winx Club, voices Lockete in Pop Pixie too; Jennifer Seguin, the voice of Stella from Winx Club, voices Chatta; Sarah Camacho, the voice of Roxy, voices Caramel; Eleanor Noble, the voice of Icy, voices Martino and Carrie Finlay, the voice of Darcy, voices Cherie.
The setting of PopPixie is set in an alternate universe to that of Winx Club.
No human characters - including the Winx - appear in PopPixie at all. Consequently, the bonding that occurs between fairies and pixies has never been brought up in PopPixie despite being the key to the pixies' relevance in Winx Club.
This is the first Winx Club spin-off to be featured on Netflix, the second being World of Winx (2016).
While all pixies in Winx Club are female, PopPixie introduces male pixies. Digit, Livy, Zing, and Jolly, who are female in Winx Club, are all male in PopPixie.
