A beat em up game I have previously never heard of, I got it on an emulator system I have and gave it a whirl. Pretty standard fare for the most part, as you pick from two characters and go through the streets beating up numerous thugs and collecting various things so you can get the high score. One of those items is a white cat that appears when you smash a crate or throw an enemy into the wall. Not sure why there are so darn many of them!
The story, well, you own a private investigator agency and a girl has been kidnapped and Rick, the head of the agency thinks strange classified ads have somehow relevant. So what do you do? Go around town beating down all the thugs! It is a beat em up after all. Granted, you do learn of a conspiracy to turn criminals into robots, but go ahead and let them! Those robots were easier to kill than the somersaulting fat guy bosses!
The game play is pretty typical of this genre with the only real unique aspect being the fact you can throw your enemies into the background and the walls and whatever they hit usually takes damage. Sometimes you can do more damage by hitting the same spot and then you get cats!
So, I had fun with this one, though it got repetitious in spots as some of the bosses take too many hits and are hard to get in on without you taking damage. Thankfully, the final bosses which includes two robots and a dude with a pool stick were not too bad all things considered. Worth a play through or two every now and then I would say.
