This is the second Reel One Entertainment and Almost Never Films TV movie I watched in the span of just two days. It actually shares location with "The Soulmate Search" - both take place in the beautiful Pinellas County, Florida; heck, some scenes were even shot in the same hotel (The Birchwood). Sadly that and supporting cast are the only good things in this trainwreck and nothing else.
Compared to the mentioned "The Soulmate Search", this movie like so many other ROE TV movies is plagues with technical issues like obnoxious loud background music (at least it wasn't constantly), and poor audio recording in outdoor scenes.
Writing is just bad. The movie is about failing Spotify run by the bunch of women (the only man is marketing VP), I mean Audify which is going to merge with Discord, I mean Dispatch to form new ultimate chat/music streaming company. Spotify is represented by try hard Amanda, and Discord by the guy who hates his job. Good potential but it was so bad on so many levels.
Travis Laughlin was like his surname - laughable but in negative way. Skye Coyne was, I guess, passable. Too bad supporting cast had barely any screen time. The only reason I watched this movie till end was to see what was going to happen with Bitsy and Paul. I think movie would be much better if they were the leads.
I still don't know if this movie was supposed to be comedy or parody. I mean Amanda says at the beginning of the movie that song she listen could become potentially great hit but it was not heard enough (something like that). However, that song was used in so many other ROE TV movies (there are few songs which they reuse almost in all of their movies) so I guess it's a parody? Or if you are into IT, you are just going to laugh - in a bad way.
To save yourself a misery watch trailer because you'll see most of the movie compressed in just 2:17 minutes.
