Skinflick maker bio.
Mozjoukine22 March 2013
Joe Sarno made skinflicks for decades. Well it's more interesting and probably more socially productive than doing documentaries on how the motor car works. This laudatory account doesn't attempt to weigh up his industry's value or the condemnation and approval it scores.

Straightforward presentation. No surprises. A long interview with the aged Sarno ("You can see the vein pop out") is illustrated by the raunchier bits of his films well reproduced. Most interesting point is that Sarno's kind of movie was sidelined by the arrival of hard core.

Here he's compared to Ingmar Bergman and a programmer from the Paris Cinematheque says Sarno anticipates Stanley Kubric. Give it a break!

Viewers, if they were interested, would be better off watching one of the awful Sarno films.
