  Teresa Lisbon : What do you mean? Red John's dead.

  Patrick Jane : Timothy Carter is dead. He was an evil man. But he was not Red John. Red John... is still alive.

  [Lisbon stares at Jane, and car horns honk] 

  Patrick Jane : Watch the road.

  Patrick Jane : No, that's incorrect...

  Det. Wade : Wait a minute. Let me finish. Now we already looked at his cell. I got the details right here. He logged zero calls from this O'Laughlin. None... And guess what else?... He didn't have a gun on him.

  Patrick Jane : No gun?

  Det. Wade : No gun.

  Det. Miller : So you see how this doesn't look good.

  Det. Wade : Looks like either you're telling us both a pack of lies, or you went crazy and killed an innocent man.

• Patrick Jane : I didn't go nuts.

  Teresa Lisbon : I believe you. I'm not sure a jury will.

  Patrick Jane : Yeah, well that is a problem. I did what I had to do, and I will live with the consequences.
