I am usually not too big on Jan JoseF Liefers, but he did an okay job here. Writer and director duo are fairly experienced with television work, so this did not turn out a complete mess. More due to the direction though. At times, it's quite disastrous though, especially an the beginning. It's all about masculinity versus feminism, or lack of the former. Some of the dialogs are really terribly written and feel so unauthentic and only in there to get some cheap laughs. Not from me, sorry. The movie runs for roughly 90 minutes and needs quite a while to get better. It does when it's really more about the fate of the characters in the movie than about empty phrases about interactions between females and males in the modern age. The worst of these may be "Down with dictatorship of feminists." Or not even "feminists" as they invented a word which does not even exist in German. Another example would be something along the lines of "Linda is the personification of happiness and happiness itself. Terribly cringeworthy and pretentious. Also this movie would drop every clanger out there. In one scene a boy comes in while his parents have sex. School ended earlier that day. So yeah, it's not good for the most part, even if the ending was okay (except Liefers randomly dating the bully girl's mother now) and it is not one of these horribly gooey romantic comedies out there thank God. Still, not recommended.
