- Follows Audrey, an enthusiastic Christmas-obsessed fitness instructor who begins a holiday romance with a charming, mysterious businessman.
- Just before Christmas, Audrey Parker heads back to her small hometown of Mistletoe MT, her future uncertain. Her boutique fitness center in New York City went under in being unable to compete with the corporate chains, and her business and personal partner Bradley, the two who had always talked about getting married, has suggested they take a break both professionally and personally to regroup. Her fallback of teaching classes at the dance studio at Mistletoe's recreation center, where her long deceased mother taught and gave her a sense of the joy of movement, may also be in jeopardy when she finds out from her father Earl Parker, the town mayor, and her married friends Lisa and Jim that Skyridge Resorts, a ski resort development company, wants to purchase the property for a new ski resort, the town in need of the revenue. Beyond her own interest in the recreation center, she knows that a Skyridge development would ruin the nature of Mistletoe in all the corporate giants, like the ones with which she couldn't compete in New York City, would descend into the town putting all the local businesses in jeopardy. She inherently views Skyridge's face for this acquisition, Griffin Weston, as the enemy, his natural salesman tactics which only exacerbates that view. The son of the company president, Griffin has a promotion to COO riding on this acquisition. While Audrey contemplates her and the recreation center's futures, she is potentially pulled back to New York City and Bradley when he comes with a proposition. But as Griffin immerses himself in Mistletoe to secure enough votes on town council at the December 23rd meeting, further complications ensue as both he and Audrey begin to see the other as people in falling for each other, and not the face of the enemy side.—Huggo
- In Mistletoe, Montana, Audrey is back home after she and her boyfriend Bradley could not succeed in New York City with their independent gym. And she and Bradley are on a break.
Audrey goes back to teaching a fitness class at the town's recreation center, which is located in a historic building. Audrey's best friend is married to Jim and they are trying to have children, and their coffee shop will have to move out of the building because the town had to cut $80,000 from the budget, and the recreation center with its small businesses was seen as least important.
Audrey visits the Christmas tree lot that her widowed father Edgar runs. She wonders why he and Darlene are not going out, because Darlene, who is in the fitness class, has baked cookies for him. She carries a heavy box of poinsettias and bumps into a man who doesn't seem to care about Christmas and corrects her on the pronunciation of poinsettias.
The next day Audrey has a private class. It turns out to be the mystery man. And he is not happy about being taught by someone who wants to dance, and certainly not to Christmas music. Fitness for a man means weights and other macho exercises. Audrey assures him her workout will benefit him.
The city council must decide whether to sell the recreation center to Skyview Resorts, which wants to build a ski resort in the community. Audrey and some others see this as a negative and believe the small town atmosphere will be lost. Presenting the case for the company is Griffin, who is the man Audrey has encountered several times. Some people in the town agree with him that a large company and its benefits will be good for the town.
Bradley calls Audrey and hints that they might get back together. And he has an offer from a big company. He and Audrey can both teach fitness classes, although they will have less freedom than they would running their own gym.
Audrey tries to introduce Griffin to the people of the town and show him how much their small businesses mean. Griffin only sees this as an opportunity to persuade them that his company will be good for Mistletoe. He also participates in an event where businesses sell their products, but it is an event for the businesses already in town.
A trivia contest is held monthly and Audrey and Griffin are on competing teams. In fact, whoever answers the last question will win, and when Audrey answers the question correctly she has an idea to save the recreation center. The question was about a kickline, and Audrey believes a kickline will make a good fundraiser.
Audrey starts making a video to get people to contribute money to save the recreation center. The city council vote to sell the recreation center is in a few weeks, on December 23, and $80,000 is the goal. Griffin manages to interfere and tries to turn the video into something that will benefit him.
Griffin has several conversations with his boss, who turns out to be his father, and eventually his father makes him a deal. Griffin can be chief operating officer, replacing a man who recently retired, if he succeeds in getting the town to sell.
Audrey and Griffin go on a date, though the town doesn't really have a nice restaurant. Griffin believes that will change when his company builds its resort. Audrey tells Griffin her mother was from New York City and that is why Audrey wanted to go there, but like her mother, she discovered how much she liked being in a small town. It is never explained how Audrey's mother died, but she did run the fitness classes and Audrey took over. Griffin also lost his mother, and his father doesn't have much enthusiasm for Christmas, because that was something his mother liked.
Bradley comes to town after hearing about the kickline. After some suggestions from Griffin, more has been done to attract donations from out of town, including live streaming of the event. On the big day the kickline has many participants but pledges are not quite enough. Still, Audrey has hope. Bradley is jealous of Griffin's interest in Audrey, and he plans to propose.
Griffin's father comes to town and sees how much the small businesses mean, and how Mistletoe has small town charm. Still, both men seem primarily interested in what the town can do for the company, and Griffin continues to use his charm to persuade people to support him. But Griffin is more open to keeping the small businesses than he was. He promises the coffee shop can stay even though most of the company's resorts have a Buckstar.
The time comes for the city council vote. Edgar leads the meeting and both Audrey and Griffin get to make their statements. The vote is 4-3 to sell.
With the recreation center closing, the Christmas party is canceled. And then it isn't. Griffin says the party will go on as scheduled and he orders enough food from Darlene to make it happen.
At the party, Griffin says the recreation center will stay open and become part of the resort, with the businesses staying. With some persuading from Audrey, Edgar asks Darlene to dance. Audrey must make a decision. Will she go back to New York City with Bradley, or will she stay in Mistletoe and teach classes there?
Audrey decides the town means too much to her to leave, and she breaks up with Bradley. She decides she and Griffin will have a relationship, and Griffin announces he will stay in town to manage the resort.
