The somewhat serious tone of the series so far is tuned down to accomadate an episode akin to Robot Chicken. This approach works very well and is nicely counterbalanced by the B-plot yet again.
Though I now question Wu's decision to seek out Garmadon's help after this episode, their interaction is still nice to see unfold.
This arc of the ninja finding their true potential is almost over, and while this episode may be the weakest in terms of overall essentialness and deep backstory, it is nice to see Cole get something to do for once.
Even with these more humorous affairs, this series shows it can carry an interesting story arc and a great set of characters nonetheless.
The Serpentine search for the second Fang Blade. Cole visits his Father. Sensei discovers some things are best left alone.
I really enjoyed this episode. The Ninja find themselves out of their depth when they must enter a dance competition in order to try and stop the Serpentine stealing the second Fang Blade. Unsure with what to do, they must rely on each other, and their friendship to succeed in their mission. It also shows the importance of family, and Cole's story line in this episode really touched my heart. It taught me something that, as an older viewer, I'm shocked it took me so long to realise.
Thankfully, this episode starts touching more on the Serpentine, and having the main danger plot line of the series being put back into the open, rather than it being more of a back ground plot going on.
I think this is my favourite episode of season one so far, and it was really touching. It was wonderful to see all of this come together like it did. It was absolutely heart warming, and I don't think another episode has made me feel so warm all season so far. Really excited to carry on with the season after this episode.

- Quotes
Cole: Guys, guys! Let's not make this any harder than it needs to be. We just stick to the plan and keep up the charade until the trophy's revealed. Once we steal the Blade Cup, we can argue all we want once we get back home.
Jay: But this is your hometown, Cole. Don't you want to try and win it?
Cole: Ugh, the only dance step I wanna perform is called "Get-me-out-of-this-nuthouse-and-let's-burn-these-memories-from-my-head".
Lou: What?
Cole: Dad, I...
Lou: You... you were going to steal it?
Cole: Dad, I didn't mean for you to hear that, but... but I'm glad you did. There's something I've been wanting to tell you. All these years, I haven't been training to be a singer or a dancer. I found something new that I'm really good at. Dad... I'm a Ninja. And the truth is, if we don't steal that Fangblade... I mean, Blade Cup... there's other people that will. Bad people. Serpentine. And we need it to save the world. I know how ridiculous this sounds, but I'm proud of who I am, and I want you to be proud of me, too.
Lou: I can't be proud of any son who thinks stealing is right! And I'm not gonna wait around to watch you make a mockery of our family's legacy!
