Neat Game For Kids

Goofy's Fun House is another game that was released exclusively on the original Playstation, as well as being another game released in the console's final years, as the Playstation 2 was released months before.

In this, you control Goofy and get to explore his home (which is the fun house the title is referring to). As a game aimed at little kids, the game allows Goofy to interact with various things, be it furniture, toys, or almost anything else. The main goal in the game is to collect items that are missing from the pictures that hang in Goofy's home entertainment room (the room you begin in when you begin a new game). Some of the items can be found somewhere in the house, while others require you to win a minigame to collect them.

So, what do you get for collecting all three items a picture is missing? Well, each picture is tied to a classic Goofy cartoon, and when completed, will allow you to watch said cartoon. While they could have used cartoons seen in Mickey Mouse Works (as well as House of Mouse, which premiered months before the game's release), the makers of the game decided to instead put in Goofy cartoons made in the 1940's (with one cartoon, Man's Best Friend, being made in 1952). There is also a sixth bonus cartoon that is unlocked by collecting a certain amount of film cans (that round canister where film is stored).

The controls are simple for the target audience, and the minigames have variety, but it can get boring for older players, especially if they collect everything.
