LIKE A SERIES EPISODE
haktanilktan_27 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The movie isn't that bad, but it was unfinished and felt like it was an episode of a series. The subject of the movie is good, a great acting by Selahattin Pasali, but the movie was kept short. If it was a series episode, I would have given a higher rating because it was more like a series episode than a movie. The blood effects in the movie were bad, even though it was a bloody and brutal movie, I laughed when I saw the blood effects. It's a movie that can attract attention in terms of being a kind of movie that we are not used to see in Turkish cinema. If you have free time it can be watched.

The thriller that lost its direction
olcare11 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
What I can clearly say about the movie is that it had a surprisingly strong first half that exceeded my expectations; it started off very suspenseful and realistic. It continued in that manner until the last 25-30 minutes, but towards the end, it truly lost track of the entire plot and shifted focus from the couple committing the murder to trying to convey a social message. I wish it had completed the suspense first and then delivered the necessary message.

In my opinion, the performances were quite successful. Selahattin Pasali continues to impress me; he truly embodied his role, and I congratulate him for that. I can also say that his monologues were very well delivered.

Let me mention a disastrous aspect of the film: the sound mixing. The motor noises from the surroundings were terribly mixed; they often overshadowed the dialogues, making some conversations hard to hear.

Now, let me address the part that bothered me the most, the scene where the police got involved. There's a murder situation at hand, the situation is dire, yet it seemed absurd to me that they focused on why your boyfriend, who is 15 years older, was present. A much more detective-like, mysterious ending could have been written; the ending was quite mediocre. The only thing I wish had been different was the shift in direction, as the beautiful dialogues in the middle of the film ended up going to waste.

Absolute boring trash
Darth_Blade4 August 2023
The film tells absolutely nothing. Full of female crying and chopping arms and stuff. Making it one shot didn't add anything to the movie. I believe it's not even a movie. I wouldn't call this a proper movie as it has no story, no screenplay or whatsoever. More like a student homework.

Suspense? Sorry no suspense. Horror? No horror. Any interesting characters or any side stories? No, it doesn't even have a "main" story. Any twists and clever arcs... Nope. So what is this? As I said. A student work who somehow got enough budget to add some gore and guts. That's it.

Oh and because the whole movie is one shot and shot inside a boring apartment, the whole cinematography is terrible. Even the sound is very bad and it's too hard to actually understand what the actors say.

I must say I only endured 57 minutes of this boring garbage.

Absolutely not recommended.

So classic but not cool it's boring
derenngedikk27 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The actings was very good especially Selahattin Pasali has a big talent yes, but the subject is quite classic. Classic and simple subjects can sometimes be interpreted very well, but this movie was not one of them. Except for the bloody and brutal scenes, it was very stagnant, I can say I watched it by force, especially after the police came. I am amazed that they can make such a subject so boring. What I liked about the movie was that it was very realistic, I liked that it told an ordinary life. The movie tells me that every person's life can change at any moment. The ending of the movie was terrible and for me, if it doesn't have an impressive ending, that movie.

Congratulations Soner
yusufpiskin5 August 2022
Soner Caner movie made in 2022... Selahattin Pasali, Ece Cesmioglu and Murat Kilic are in the lead roles.

Vedat Özdemir, the cinematographer of the film

I had seen this film in its first screening at the festival and could not find time to write about it.

The most epic detail I remember about the movie was that the intellectual audience, who saw the cinema as a narration by a man from central Anatolia through Dostoyevsky, and the cancer audience, whose entire cinematic knowledge was based on two or three names, ran out of the living room shouting "Oops, this is violence pornnnn" while the movie was being screened. ..

I congratulate Soner Caner, who expanded the motto 'a good movie should be a pebble in your shoes' by putting an umbrella in the back of the audience who thinks he is a bourgeois intellectual...

If it were up to them, we would watch only one type of movie. Good thing there are names like you who aren't afraid to do something.

The use of the venue, the colors, the games of the camera, the sound technician's knowledge of his job are some of the pluses of the film.

In addition, Soner Caner pushed his two very talented actors to the limit and took their performances to the top.

Soner Caner, whom I have been following since the rauf movie, I hope I can sell this movie to a platform like iTunes... I hope the movie reaches a much wider audience on a platform like Netflix that will do justice to this movie in terms of sound and image.

I hope this movie is not deleted from the cinema by some names like rauf, which is a masterpiece.

Finally; Selahattin Pasali, what kind of actor are you?

MEMENTO MORI
CanYesiler10 August 2023
I must say, "A real aspect of homicide from a movie!" I recently had the opportunity to watch this cinematic masterpiece. If you possess the fortitude to endure such content, I recommend giving it a viewing. Conversely, if the subject matter is too daunting, it may be best to abstain. However, for those genuinely intrigued by the intricacies of crime scenes and the profound concept of memento mori, this film offers invaluable insight that warrants consideration before it potentially faces cancellation.

This remarkable production delves deep into the darker facets of human nature, portraying the complexities of emotion with remarkable authenticity. Whether depicting intentional or unintentional acts borne from mental anguish, the film skillfully navigates through shifting emotional landscapes, heightened by the palpable effects of adrenaline and fear.

Undoubtedly, this cinematic gem deserves commendation from the law enforcement community, offering a compelling portrayal of the realities they confront. While the film's brevity may be a deliberate departure from conventional storytelling, a more elaborate narrative arc could have further enhanced its impact, perhaps accompanied by a poignant background score during pivotal scenes akin to the gripping finale of "Ejder Kapani."

For those familiar with platforms such as Bestgore, the stark portrayal of humanity's darker side may resonate deeply. Nevertheless, it underscores the importance of individuals committed to upholding righteousness and safeguarding society from malevolence. In a world often besieged by darkness, the symbol of "S" embodies hope for a brighter tomorrow in someone's world.
