Mickey hates his job, his wife won't shut up and, on a night when he can afford it the least, he loses his wallet. He is a man embarking on middle age - a writer who keeps his neglected typewriter within arm's reach of his bed - living a life that looks nothing like the one he imagined back in his more cocksure days. Everywhere he looks, Mickey sees glimpses of the life that he always assumed would be his, from his best friend Richard (the porn magnate) and his insanely hot wife to the gorgeous checkout girl at the corner grocery store and her insanely hot tits. It seems that his only purpose for living anymore is to serve as a target for Fate's cruel and unjust money shot. The odyssey that becomes the frantic search for his lost wallet will bring Mickey face to face with a couple of trickster stock boys, a ballerina hobo, a disenchanted cop and a store owner who may very well prove to be Mickey's fairy godmother. By the time he finally climbs into bed, Mickey will recover something far more valuable than his lost wallet.
