Guns N’ Roses launched their 2025 international tour on Thursday (May 1st) at Songdo Moonlight Festival Park in Incheon, South Korea.
The gig marked the band’s first concert in a year and a half, and the first Gn’R show for new drummer Isaac Carpenter, who took over after the band parted ways with longtime stickman Frank Ferrer in March.
For Carpenter’s debut behind the kit, the band opened their kickoff concert in South Korea with “Welcome to the Jungle” — remarkably, the first time Gn’R have opened with the song since 2012.
The 22-song set hit on every era of the band, from obligatory Appetite for Destruction classics, to the Use You Illusion albums and a few Chinese Democracy cuts
The band did not appear to perform an encore, instead closing with a strong trio of classic-era staples: “Patience,” “Nightrain,” and lastly, “Paradise City.”

New month, new horror recommendations from Deep Cuts Rising. This installment’s five selections reflect the month of July 2024.
Regardless of how they came to be here, or what they’re about, these past movies can generally be considered overlooked, forgotten or unknown.
This month’s offerings include a snake thriller, a giallo, and more.
Death Walks on High Heels (1971)
Death Walks on High Heels (1971)
Directed by Luciano Ercoli.
For fans, July is dedicated to gialli. And one giallo that doesn’t come up too often in discussions is Death Walks on High Heels (La morte cammina con i tacchi alti in Italian). After Nieves Navarro‘s character’s father — a jewel thief — is murdered, the masked assailant comes after the daughter. The protagonist flees to England, however, her pursuer won’t stop until he gets what he seeks.

Tori Spelling and her estranged ex, Dean McDermott, are in massive debt amid their divorce. The two separated nearly a year ago but Tori did not file until March 2024. Now, the two have a debt that is coming to the forefront but how will they settle it? Keep reading for more details.
Tori Spelling & Estranged Ex In Massive Debt Amid Divorce
Throughout their marriage, Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott did have money troubles. She was interested in opening and exploring a handful of different businesses. The only thing that was truly stable during their time together was reality television which lasted several years. Plus, Tori wrote six books so those were her niches. Aside from that, she did dip and dive into other ventures but all that did was add to their mounting money problems. By the time their marriage came crumbling down, Tori had fallen ill along with a few of their children.

Guns N’ Roses played the penultimate show of their 2023 tour at L.A.’s Hollywood Bowl on Thursday night, and they used the occasion to debut “The General.” “This could be very interesting,” Rose told the crowd. “If there’s ever a better place to fall on your face, I think this fuckin’ counts.” Check out a fan-shot video.
“The General” is one of many Chinese Democracy-era songs fans learned about long before the album came out. Former Skid Row vocalist Sebastian Bach raved about it in a series of interviews.

The historic Power Trip festival kicked off on Friday night (October 6th) in Indio, California. The three-day event features six of the biggest hard rock and heavy metal acts in the world, with two bands performing each night.
Tens of thousands of fans descended upon the Empire Polo Club, the same site where Coachella is held every year. They were greeted by a giant devil-horn-shaped cactus, letting them know that they were in for a weekend of legendary rock music.
Guns N’ Roses and Iron Maiden had the honor of playing the first night, with Maiden taking the stage first at 6:55 p.m., about 10 minutes later than the advertised 6:45 set time.
Instead of playing a “greatest hits” set, as could have been expected at an event such as Power Trip, Maiden stuck with their current “Future Past World Tour” setlist, which features the band playing songs predominantly from their latest album,...

Last year Olivia Colman made history as the first woman to win a Best Drama Actress Emmy (for “The Crown”) after having received a Best Actress Oscar (for 2018’s “The Favourite”). More than a dozen other leading ladies preceded her in being awarded by both the film and TV academies, in that order, but she stands as the only one to earn her Emmy for a continuing drama series. Now, Reese Witherspoon could follow her example by succeeding on her first Best Drama Actress bid for Apple TV+’s “The Morning Show,” which has come 16 years after her lead Oscar win for “Walk the Line.”

One of John Mayer's songs will serve as the basis for a "major" new movie.
During a concert last night, the seven-time Grammy Award winner announced that "Walt Grace's Submarine Test, January 1967," a song from his 2012 album "Born & Raised," is being adapted into a film. The concert was live-streamed online in an effort to raise money to support the Montana community where he's lived for more than a decade, which experienced devastating flooding earlier this summer.
"I want to say one thing that might get me in trouble, 'cause that's what I do," Mayer said after finishing a rendition of "Walt Grace" on stage. "That song is soon to be a major motion picture. It's true. It's true. It's going to be a movie."

Branded the saviour of cinema, Christopher Nolan’s time-travelling sci-fi turned out more of a sacrificial lamb – and has totally spooked the industry
Releasing his lowest-grossing film since 2006’s The Prestige was probably not on Christopher Nolan’s agenda for 2020, but then nobody has had exactly the year they expected. Since his big, metallic sci-fi thriller Tenet finally hit cinemas in late August – after months of delay and deliberation – its box-office figures have been the subject of as much variable debate as its tangled, time-slipping plot.
After six weeks of global release, Tenet has grossed more than £235m worldwide – a number that means different things to different analysts. For a latter-day Nolan film, it’s borderline disastrous: far short of the £405m grossed by his last film, Dunkirk, which itself was a modest performer compared to the £830m racked up by The Dark Knight Rises. With a production budget around £154m,...

J.J. Abrams may be busy directing Star Wars 9, but that doesn't mean he's too busy to add a ton of new projects to his producing slate. His company Bad Robot has officially lined up six new movie projects, which are being developed using a discretionary fund that Abrams has set up through his deal at Paramount. These projects are quite varied, including several new horror and sci-fi movies, as well as a movie from Grammy-nominated rapper Logic. Sadly, from the descriptions in place, none of them sound like possible Cloverfield sequels. Unless they are planning a pretty big twist to the franchise narrative.
First up is Everything Must Go, which comes from Bobby Hall, aka Logic, who is co-writing the movie with Lisa McQuillan (Black-Ish). The movie is being pitched as "Clerks for a new generation." Logic is also set to star in the movie. Also on Bad Robot's new slate is The Steps,...

Estranged
Recently released on the new Frightfest Presents label, Estranged is the story of January (Amy Manson), a young woman who is seriously injured in a traffic accident and returns to her family home to recuperate – with no memory of her life before the accident happened. It’s a tense, claustrophobic drama that gradually takes on a more sinister aspect as, despite growing physically stronger, January comes to feel increasingly powerless and threatened. Adam Levins, the director, is better known as a cinematographer, and one of the first things one notices about Estranged is its striking beauty – it’s a very visual film. I asked him how much this owed to his past work.
“I can’t really take the credit for the cinematography because Gary [Shaw] is a really good cinematographer and he’s older than us too – he’s worked on stuff like Moon and Fortitude – I...

What’s this? I hear you cry. Nerdly reviewing a new British comedy? Yes, given the fact we tend to avoid British productions – especially those featuring football hooligans and/or gangsters, two “genres” which tend to proliferate the shelves of DVD stores and supermarkets everywhere (and two genres I consider the nadir in filmmaking) – and focus on mainly horror output from these shores, seeing Convenience reviewed on these pages may come as a shock. The spoof movie A Haunted House is opening in the same release slot as this year's box office smash The Devil Inside. So it makes sense that the latest poster would go after that easy target, which made a lot of money but disappointed just as many fans with its abrupt ending. Star Marlon Wayans dons a nun's habit to be possessed by the devil, in this story based on untrue events.
A Haunted House comes to theaters January 11th, 2013 and stars Marlon Wayans, Nick Swardson, David Koechner, Alanna Ubach, Dave Sheridan, Essence Atkins, Cedric the Entertainer, Jamie Noel. The film is directed by Michael Tiddes.
The Devil Inside was released January 6th, 2012 and stars Fernanda Andrade, Simon Quarterman, Evan Helmuth, Ionut Grama, Suzan Crowley, Bonnie Morgan, Brian Johnson, Preston James Hillier. The film is directed by William Brent Bell.
