Some Grit is Good
nogodnomasters23 September 2017
Warning: Spoilers
The film opens showing us a bunch of people laying around. i.e. the morning after party. It then goes to 18 hours earlier. We discover an overly diverse group of people who rent rooms and share common areas. There is tension and "laughs" as they want to film an adult movie and have a party against house rules for use of common areas. The film tried too hard to be quirky with their characters. They came across as idiotic and not funny. The film was more stupid than "Movie 43" but I am sure fans of that film might like this one. The production incorporates individuals from the adult film industry Ron Jeremy and Bridgette B. The film tried too hard.

Guide: F-word, sex, no real nudity.

Living and partying .. together
kosmasp6 August 2022
When this starts or at the beginning of it - it seemed to go one direction. Critisizing the industry in general - the adult one in specific nature (no pun intended). But the movie does quickly change lanes. And where it was quite enticing to see the characters at first fail or be weird ... it gets strange in a very uncomfortable and sometimes even disgusting way.

Not to mention some of them are annoying as ... well you choose the word that is best for your needs. A shame, the actors in this seem to do their best and identify with their character. Really well done in that department ... but the other stuff lets the movie and the viewers down. No one can keep it up is what I am saying? Hey I didn't want to go there and use that pun, you made me do it - which also could be seen as a pun, if you are not too easily offended. Which I would totally get - let's not waste too much time in this then ... and on the movie itself, if you value your time at all.

As the title suggests, dysfunctional
dparag143 October 2016
It's not just gross, but also so screwed up. So dysfunctional and messed up, It should get 0 stars.

I just wonder what goes through the minds of these directors and creators to even produce a movie such as this. They're probably too high and intoxicated to realize anything.

This movie reflects on the most downgraded persons in society. It's not just a bad story, or even worse production, also the worst ever acting. Also, I mean the whole point was to portray absurd sexual activities and what not, yet there isn't a single nude scene. I guess they couldn't afford it.

Needless to say, don't waste your time over this.

A new indie comedy that turned out to be more dramatic as I thought.
peterp-450-29871617 September 2016
"Jezus Christ, I don't even need zoom on you girls."

In terms of comedy, I'm really a bad reference. Admittedly, I am a difficult person when it comes to humor. Maybe it's my special sense of humor. So, the average comedies are rarely entertaining enough for me. It horrified me when I saw that "All out Dysfunktion" was marked with the label "comedy". And honestly, the first 15 minutes I had to grit my teeth. Until I surely discovered some funny moments at a given time and the interactions between the characters had an intriguing effect on me. And no, it's not those two hotties on the bench that made it interesting. At first I was annoyed about some shortcomings. The editing wasn't exactly spectacular in the beginning and I could even hear a muffled giggle in the background (I suppose that was someone from the crew). But as the film progressed, the editing became flawless and smoothly.

The turning point in the movie was when Clarelle (Melinda Dekay) shared an intimate moment with both Tyrell (David Bianchi) and Gator (Dan Sanders-Joyce). It looked like a deep philosophical moment, however it was abruptly interrupted by this hale and hearty old lady. Indeed, a funny moment. This sublime acting moment is the transition from the introductory part to the part which is more chaotic and shows a drug-soaked party.

The whole story takes place in a modern-looking building with a variety of personalities renting a room there. Clarelle, a spirited old lady, who apparently had something to do with varieté in the past, tries to keep everything under control. Because the residents are so different to each other, conflicts are inevitable. They all seem a little bit peculiar and crazy. Hence the title "Dysfunktion", I suppose. The colorful group consists of Tyrell, a slightly neurotic gayish type who suffers from a severe form of hosophobia. Gator is the misfit with pretty much disgusting habits and he's also the grandson of Clarelle. Ranjit (Arsh Singh) is an Indian pervert who spends his time in front of his computer getting horny while watching Pleasure (Jenn Pinto), another resident he's secretly in love with, on a porn website. Finally, there's Carrie (Angelica Chitwood) who has a serious cocaine problem (Chitwood? Appropriate name) and she's the one who comes up with this bright idea to organize a rave party.

The first part of the film is used to introduce the characters and to clarify their personality. Sometimes it was long-winded and funny moments are fairly scarce. Until there's this entire film crew filming a porn. Time for some hilarious moments. Especially Azeebo (Poncho Hodges), who fails in doing the job, provided some chuckle moments. I was extremely enthusiastic about the contribution of Mike 'Mix Under Thunder' (Yul L. Spencer) as the director. A Spanish-looking chatterbox who looked exactly like Skinner from "Ratatouille." Both in terms of temperament and stature. But I must pay tribute to the excellent acting performance of Melinda Dekay. What a sublime rendition. Both sober and foggy state.

My assumption that this would be yet another comedy, subsequently turned out wrong. After the turning point, they focused more on the dramatic life of the protagonists. A feeling of deep compassion emerged, as details of everyone's personal life were laid bare. The biggest downside of the whole film was the story on its own. Ultimately, this was a fairly simple story without too much sophistication. A crazy group huddles together and an organized party degenerates into some violent situations. That's it in a nutshell. The absurd situations and interactions made it a bit more interesting. There's one thing I'm sure of. I'm sure the record (owned by "The Wolf of Wall Street") in using the F-word, certainly was broken. That number exceeded even the number of people who worked for this film.

Brilliant!

Warning: Spoilers
Great movie!! Must watch!! Loved it, as real as life itself.... The characters are great and the title speaks for itself. It is dysfunctional, but true. This is what life is like, we are all different living in the same world. Entertaining and fun to watch. Everyone should watch this movie. Director has a great sense of humor, Great actors! Keep it up, bring out another movie!! Ending was like what!!!???!!!! But loved every minute of it. Don't take it to seriously and see the humor in it. As the movie portrays, we are all different and life is very dysfunctional. Yet we can all make it work out. The characters are all different yet work well together. Easy to watch and really worth it. Good eye opener to the real world!!

Not porn, or comedy, but rather a study of "losers" and crisis
PaulMemoli18 September 2016
Warning: Spoilers
From various blurbs I expected a hard "R" comedy. I guess that in some ways it was, but there is no graphic sex and the only overt violence is the rape of a girl who has been dosed with "G" (GHB???). The basic plot is that there is a large house with at least 5 bedrooms and a large empty "ballroom". There is an older woman who owns the house and rents out rooms to people she thinks will be able to co-exist together. It works out fairly well for about 4 years but at the time this film takes place, all the renters are approaching their 30s and are beginning to recognize the fact that few if any of their dreams and aspirations will ever bear fruit.

One of the girls living there decides to rent the place out for a rave. Money changes hands. Drugs appear - so much that in some scenes it seems as though bottles of baby powder were poured into dishes. Coke, Ecstasy, Ketamine etc, and lots of pills.

This movie is ultimately a study of people who were coping (some badly) with socio-economic poverty, and how the influx of drugs, dance and rock and roll destroys a fragile ecosystem.

Great Drama-Comedy
gdevlin-7612120 September 2016
This movie had me cracking up the entire time. All the characters were hilarious in their own way. The film had porn stars, drugs, sex, a crazy party. They used Ron Jeremy in a scene as one of the people watching the webcam girl. The music was dope, great original EDM tracks from a DJ named DJ Candy Red. The special effects used in the film to represent the drug mindset was perfect. The movie was as dramatic as it was funny, it took turns for the worse throughout the film. I have to say the film contained a lot of explicit content so it should be geared towards adults. I'd give the film a 10/10 because it really had me on the edge of my seat belly laughing the whole time.

a roller coaster ride
vincebianchi22 September 2016
The film starts as a comedy but then takes twits and turns into the darker side of trying to make it in the big town. The film shows many coping mechanisms for those who try but don't quite get there. Some simply complain, others advise, others try any medium possible while others simply take advantage of those around them.

A scene between a young "want to be" and an "old tried but" sums up the lives of many who try.

As the film shows partying to distract from failure to meet the goal is common.

In the end partying is easier than trying.

If you want to go to "make it" in the big town I suggest that you see this film before you buy your ticket.

Clever, dark, sarcastic comedy with a pinch of vulnerability and drama
nhantakespics11 October 2016
Warning: Spoilers
Take Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, The Big Lebowski, and Pulp Fiction, throw it into an independent film blender and you get All Out Dysfunktion. Each character had different paths to get to where they are at in the living situation they are in. The character development wasn't rushed and wasn't dragged out so it was just right. Each have their own quirks and the dark comedic approaches to their stereotypes were memorable and kept me entertained. The party scene definitely connected with me as I love the rave and edm scene myself so I felt like I was their raging at the party. There were so many gut busting one liners where it caught me off guard and I was laughing so hard. If you like a fresh indie film that's dark comedy and memorable, this is the film to see!

Awesome Flick
baisden3-220 October 2016
This is an pretty amazing little film. Dark, yet funny. Strange but undeniably familiar. In a landscape that is filled with remakes, comes something that is a treat. The jokes and direction make it seem like a high budget movie. Much to my surprise the actors have a lot of flavor and soul.

Very politically incorrect; funny for many adults.Yet socially unredeemable comedy.

See it friends

see it soon.

Hope this team makes many more together sure to be gold.

All Out Dysfunktion! will take you on a wild, surprising ride
tdalor20 September 2016
A funny, yet surprisingly dramatic movie, "All Out Dysfunktion!" delivers some hard hitting scenes with some really great acting. From the outside, it may look like just a raunchy comedy, but once the layers are pulled back and is delved more deeply into, there are some fantastic moments that take you by surprise. A specific scene between Jenn Pinto and Arsh Singh will have you on the verge of tears forgetting that you're watching a comedy. Jenn Pinto absolutely shines in this movie, showing many different sides of her acting spectrum. The characters are all uniquely different, but all manage to blend well with one another. Overall, "All Out Dysfunktion!" excels at entertaining and leaves you more than satisfied by its end.

Chaos, grunge, and unique plot
iwantmoorekayla20 September 2016
The actors are crazy and entertaining to watch. The plot is unexpected and draws you in from the beginning leaving you wondering what's to come. In addition to the chaos from the opening scene, it is easy to relate to. In our own way, we are are twisted, weird, and "dysfunktional". The ways in which we cope, well that ranges from person to person; and the most out there ways are revealed in several very out there characters. And who doesn't love adult humor. Filled with explicit content, especially drug use/ "party scene" you're sure to be on the edge of your seat. Dramatic from the start, this film is anything but boring, and offers a unique outlook on the f"d up ways of the human race.

wild ride without a GPS
suzel-3668322 September 2016
This is a film of twists and turns first funny, then sad and then crazy.

Its path is totally unpredictable.

The cast is diverse and made up largely of unknowns who deliver a good performance but you will still see a face or two that you have seen before.

I strongly recommend this flick to those who want to take a ride and end up scratching their head about where they are and how they got there at the end.

There are scenes that will remind many of their own life experiences: a) youth hiding porn from parents b) old folks sharing trials and tribulations c) parents trying to check on their kids away from home for the first time d) the party you can't remember but someone said you had fun

There's more but you need to see it for yourself.

All Out Amazing!
pbastian-131-2979717 November 2016
A great vignette of the various personalities in LA, this satire details the struggle to make it in a tough town. Exceptional performances by David Bianchi, Jenn Pinto, and Melinda DeKay make these characters shine. This story depicts their dreams, failures, and attempts at making meaningful connections in a sometimes superficial industry. Also, excellent work by director Ryan LeMasters and cinematographer Jeff Siljenberg. At times extremely funny and at other times extremely moving, this poignant portrait of Hollywood dysfunktion is worth watching.

Enjoy!

Hilarious Comedy turned Drama!
sammystix20 September 2016
This is a film that covers a lot of bases that had me roaring in laughs by the first fifteen min...its a really unpredictable rides...to be honest I didn't know where it was going and was really pleasantly surprised by all that I saw...good job for a indie with a dark cult kind of energy!! Lots of fun!! and some shockers!!

The cast is really special in this film...that was the biggest surprise for a cast of unknowns they really brought it home! The writing was sharp and the cuts as far as edits were pretty clean and the moments where over the top but consistent so it was easy to go on the ride.

I really recommend this film to anyone who is a solid indie fan that wants to learn some serious acting chops.

Convincing, Funny look at Hollywood, must see cult drama!
ajv509920 October 2016
When you don't know what to expect out of a Hollywood indie film you walk in a little suspect especially with porn stars on the cast...but this was an awesome ride! The characters were vivid and raw and the actors just popped off the screen as if each role was written just for them! Bravo to screenwriter David Bianchi for a dark and edgy first effort! The one liners kept coming and the tension kept rising.

Much more than a comedy it covers roles of men and women in Hollywood and social and financial systems. A cool look at where the broke side of Hollywood live? And how do they live? The movie is fueled with drugs and vulgarity and more F-bombs than I've heard in a while but they almost seemed invisible after a while as I followed the journey of each broken character into more and more colorful chaos.

Director LeMasters really executed on what looked like a solid budget managing all these colliding stories. This is a grade A film for anyone into cult indies.

This movie has the makings of a cult classic!

In the darkness there is beams of burning light
theonutt20 December 2016
This is a Indie to watch MANY times!

To truly understand the movie, you would need to have lived or be currently living in this world of modest swaller. This film is a kaleidoscope of sex and bad decisions. Following the mind-altered misfits and outcasts, who cry havoc on the normal. Just as these characters live life, this movie travels in a muddled direction. The story is less about the specific characters emotions or needs, but to their role in society. More directly, their impact on the world around them. Most viewers would be right to accept the fun nature and free form in which the story begins, if only to make the drastic collapse that much more devastating. These are the people who put all there chips on black and spin. They do this because they have so much misguided faith, they assume a loss so devastating could never happen to them. The raw feeling one feels after watching this movie in not unlike peeling off a gnarly scab and exposing it to the real world. My only warning is that if you like the lollipop world that your momma made for you, the one where Santa showers you in gifts and candy canes... Then avoid it. Otherwise, if you want to know why that breezy bimbo stood you up, It because she got caught up in the life. Watch this movie, prepare for tremors and mild after shocks.
