Not bad but also not 'good'
dhwdfcvjm1 January 2023
Interesting story line but the long episodes spend too much time on unnecessary scenes. The main characters are married in real life but far too much immorality for turkish standards. It's just becoming a diary of the husband and wife's intimate moments and less of the actual story line. The characters all have strong acting so have to give them that and as usual Neslihan Atagul gives a remarkable performance as usual. She really engages with her character and is the strongest person on screen. The storyline is a tad jumpy and could have alternative plots that would be far more entertaining but seems as though easy options are chosen.

Story is like it's not going anywhere

Much like every other turkish drama series, this one uses the same formula to create a story, a chaotic problematic big family drama = families, parents, sons, daughters all living in the same house even if they are already married and have their own family to live, squeezing all the characters into one house to create a tale of love, hate, quarrels, jealousy, and all the pandemoniums.

Like most, this series was exciting in the beginning until episode 14 when the writers directors actors started to decide to make dramatic scenes that looked more like a comedy.

Not sure how this series will pan out but it seemed like the writers don't know where to take the story to another level - EXCITING level. I'm starting to get bored with so much unnecessary scenes.

The character of the lead male is unstable, and so is the female lead. The ex-wife renders some comedic relief or perhaps it's turning the supposed drama into comedy, I'm confused.

I know that the two lead stars are husband and wife in real life but I find it hard to get their connection in this series. Characters are not convincing.

It has almost no relevance to the original book

Warning: Spoilers
I have bought the Book Gecenin Ucunda by Peride Celal after I watched the first episode on TV. Finished the book, which was one of the best psychological love theme books I have ever read. The series should follow more of less the Book because they are promoting the series as it is inspired by the Book. But the series is another story which is a classical turkish drama where loads of intrigue. By now the middle brother Ahmet should have gone to the US, the mother should stop speaking to Kazim for the marriage he went for. The ex wife should never get pregnant and she must not be living with the newly married couple. Serra should be a cousin and is a lovely girl who supports either this way or another way Macide. The motel Macide stays in should be run by a russian lady Nadya who plays a critical role in the Book.

And Kazim is so just crazy about Macide. In the series we cant see any of those and the producers and scenario is just another Turkish drama series which we are so bored of with no artistic value either. I started with a big enthusiasm but now stopping after seeing the upcoming week's episode trailer. Just dont waste your time to watch..

Hard to watch.

I don't get! Your boyfriend's mother attempted to murder you and you knew, and there you are still in love and still attaching yourself to the family? IN real life you could have ended the relationship, and stayed away from the family who wants to kill you.

A mental family, all of them in fact have different level of insanity. A woman who believe in energy, an intuition that she is destined to be with a married guy whose family is quite unstable.

I don't know but I don't understand this series, very confusing and so dramatic, it's not pulling me to the story. Very bad acting, bad direction, bad writing, bad execution, impossible story. Characters aren't stable, too much flaws. This tv series also has too much immorality in it.

Neslihan Atgul is a good actress but this ain't a good project for her.

Won't be surprised if this will end abruptly.

Too boring to watch
breezegarcia17 December 2022
I'm not sure if this is the kind of turkish tv that the locals would love to watch?

A dysfunctional family all of whom have mental conditions or mentally sick?

Too much levels of immorality from almost all the cast, starting with the main lead star having affair with a married man. Her friend also having an affair with a married man. The other married woman having affair with a single man. A married old man having affair with girls.

It's like everyone is having extra marital affairs in this series. Very theatrical acting. Hard to watch with too much unnecesary fillers. Not much excitement to watchout for.

Episode 26????
fjfyhb28 April 2023
I was anxiously waiting for the final only to experience total disappointment. "What was that?" It appears that the writers couldn't decide what to do with Kazim... they make him a psychopath. Midgets whole point was to save someone to save the love she was feeling to make this person whole, and in the end she gets destroyed completely off the main subject of spiritualness and peace. It appears to me like no one could think of what to write, and how to put everything together the actors, who are great in other series are lost here. Either the screen writers are horrible or the directors. Nothing makes any sense and the ending is NUTS! So sorry ...it could have been a great romance, but instead it's a disaster. Pour screen writing!

Love it!

I'm not a Turk so I eagerly wait for a translated episode. I have watched tons of Turkish dramas and there is some top tier scheming going on in this one. The lead actors are great and Nermin is so crazy with her screaming and crying the poor actress must have a headache at the end of the day haha For anyone who has stop watching earlier the drama it is a slow burn and it gets better. Again I've watched a ton of these dramas and can usually predict what's going to happen and still can but this drama is a bit more inventive on the art of revenge. I wish I could understand turkish because the dialogue between Kazim and Cihangir seems hysterical.
