‘Wednesday’ Returns to the Scene of the Crime in Season 2 Teaser
Image
Jenna Ortega’s haunting and brooding Wednesday Addams is a Tsa nightmare in the first teaser trailer for Wednesday Season Two. Heading through airport security, the titular character unloads an arsenal of weapons — from a taser and flail to mace and at least four different types of knives — but it’s the non-travel size sunscreen that gets her flagged. It isn’t even hers. Thing just wants to protect its scarred and discolored hand-only body. The popular Netflix series will return in two parts on Aug. 3 and Sept. 3 as Wednesday...

Ghost Whisperer (2005)
All 5 seasons of Ghost Whisperer ranked from worst to best
Ghost Whisperer (2005)
"Can you see us?" was a question that Ghost Whisperer posed a lot. As trapped, frightened, or confused (and sometimes angry) ghosts popped up in Melinda Gordon's place of work, the streets she walked down, or even her own home, audiences were invested in the emotional storytelling that went on in the beloved supernatural TV drama of the 2000s.

The Jennifer Love Hewitt-led drama premiered on CBS in 2005 and it quickly became a staple of the weekly schedule, with it somehow managing to hit new highs in its fourth season. Although it ended prematurely with its fifth and final season, the show has remained a fan-favorite over the years, with fans still championing a revival.

Melinda experienced a lot of unique and original adventures during her time on our screens, thrilling audiences (and quite possibly confusing the Grandview residents) along the way. But which of those five seasons...

Jared Padalecki Knew The Exact Moment ‘Supernatural’ Changed Gears That Made Me Love Eric Kripke Even More
Image
Jared Padalecki rose to prominence with Supernatural, where he played Sam Winchester. The series ran for fifteen seasons and continues to enjoy pop culture relevance. However, when the series first started, it followed a rather predictable format.

At its core, the first season is about two brothers fighting monsters and other supernatural creatures while searching for their dad. However, this formula could’ve easily turned stale and doomed the show in its very early episodes.

Jared Padalecki in Supernatural (Credit: Warner Bros).

During an interview, Padalecki discussed his concerns about the show running out of ideas very early on. However, he singled out one episode as the exact moment when the series shifted gears and transformed into the version we fell in love with. Here is everything you need to know about Supernatural‘s transition that made me fall in love with Eric Kripke and his world.

Lady Gaga Is Queen of the Desert, Benson Boone Channels Freddie Mercury, Lisa Slays at Coachella 2025
Image
When the inevitable oral history of Coachella is written at some point in the future, the first day of the 2025 edition of the mega-fest will likely be remembered for two things: first, the nearly-unbearable 100-plus degree heat that made the early part of the day a bear to slog through for even the most faithful fans of the desert gathering, and — more importantly — Lady Gaga’s superlative headlining set, definitively one of the most well constructed and over-the-top productions to ever grace the Indio polo field’s most-massive stage.

Gaga’s show (the artist’s first full-length set promoting her newest album, Mayhem) was set up in five acts with appropriately dramatic titles (“And She Fell Into A Gothic Dream,” “The Beautiful Nightmare that Knows Her Name,” etc.) and a semi-throughline story that seemed to be about Gaga killing her Mother Monster persona, only to have it rise again at the end.

A Night of Mayhem: Lady Gaga’s Coachella Performance Is One for the History Books
Image
Lady Gaga closed out the first night of Coachella 2025, bringing her dynamic performance style to the desert in a characteristically engaging, highly-choreographed headlining set that already ranks among the best in the festival’s 25-plus year history.

The 20-song set was divided into five acts: “Act I: Of Velvet and Vice,” “Act II: And She Fell Into a Gothic Dream,” “Act III: The Beautiful Nightmare That Knows Her Name,” “Act IV: To Wake Her Is to Lose Her,” and “Finale: Eternal Aria of the Monster Heart.” It began with a pre-recorded message voiced by two versions of herself, one dressed in red and one dressed in white, who said: “Her and I will find a way to live as twins, but I will know if in the end mistress of mayhem wins.”

Lady Gaga Proves Why She’s a Once-in-a Generation Pop Icon During Coachella Set
Image
Gothic gargoyles appeared, lights dimmed, and the crowd chanted the prima donna’s name at the desert operahouse. It was Friday night at Coachella and Lady Gaga was about to tell the story of Mayhem — and give the performance of a lifetime.

Over two hours and four acts, Gaga brought to life the inner battle between two sides of herself: lightness (an angelic, innocent Gaga monster with blonde hair) and darkness (the shadowier “lady in red” she sings about in “Abracadabra”).

In the first act of her headlining Coachella set,...

Everything We Know About ‘American Horror Story’ Season 13 & What We Want to See in the “Final” Season
Image
There’s at least one more season of American Horror Story on the horizon and details about the upcoming Season 13 are starting to come in.

It’s difficult for any television series to sustain itself for a dozen seasons, but American Horror Story has experienced a particularly fascinating trajectory that’s often more chaotic than it is creative. Regardless of one’s opinion on American Horror Story – its current state or the series in general – there’s no denying that it ushered in a new wave of anthology storytelling that’s still popular a decade later. There’s been an increasingly blasé approach to American Horror Story seasons that it’s sometimes easy to forget about the tremendous pomp and circumstance that surrounded the early seasons and how each year’s theme would be teased and revealed like a major event. American Horror Story’s production and promotion has become more perfunctory,...

Uncovering the True Villains of Gore Verbinski’s ‘The Ring’ [The Lady Killers Podcast]
Veronica Ricci in Bloody Mary (2011)
“You weren’t supposed to help her.”

Who doesn’t love a good urban legend? From Bloody Mary and the ghostly passenger to alligators in the sewers and a killer in the backseat, we love an ominous story passed to us from a friend of a friend. We know it probably isn’t true, but … what if it is?

While urban legends filter through the horror genre, no film infuses this classic example of modern folklore with millennial tech like Gore Verbinski’s The Ring. Adapted from Hideo Nakata’s 1998 shocker Ringu, this remake follows a string of bizarre deaths all leading back to an ominous VHS tape rumored to kill anyone who dares to watch.

Rachel (Naomi Watts) is an investigative journalist and single mom who vows to find out how her niece Katie (Amber Tamblyn) really died. Seven days after watching an ominous home movie, the teenage girl...

Shocking Reason Why You Might Never See Jenna Ortega in Marvel Movies
Image
Jenna Ortega has gained widespread attention after her breakout role in the Netflix series Wednesday. She has been in the industry for quite some time and has been taking on roles since she was a kid. She was one of the main characters in the Disney Channel series Stuck in the Middle, playing Harley Diaz.

I won’t blame you if you didn’t recognize her from any of this and instead were introduced to the American actress via the popular TikTok video that made rounds on the internet—the iconic scene from Wednesday where she dances to Lady Gaga’s Bloody Mary. However, with her rising popularity, there was speculation that she might star in a Marvel movie, mainly due to Marvel’s reputation for casting up-and-coming actors.

The Beetlejuice Beetlejuice star described Gaga's talents as among the very best she's ever seen, going on to describe how it felt to be on the same set with not only the 14-time Grammy winner, but Tim Burton – someone else she greatly admires – as well. Supernatural Fans Have Been Watching the Wrong Version of Season 1 (& They May Not Have Realized It)
Image
The CW’s 15-season horror-fantasy series, Supernatural, has a distinct sound and aesthetic. Season one introduces audiences to this new world of monsters and things that go bump in the night. With cool tones and eerie locations, every episode is like a mini-horror movie. The look and music are just as important as the Chevy Impala, shotguns, and military jackets.

Classic rock and haunting instrumentals are established as the soundtrack to Supernatural in the pilot episode, but many of the classic rock songs are replaced by then-contemporary music in the digital versions of season one. While some needle drops aren’t the most impactful, they set the tone for the show. Fans who only watch this version of season one are missing out—it’s nothing against the bands used by the streamers, but they just don't feel like Supernatural. Thankfully, this is only a concern for the first season.

And let’s be real – once this show sinks its teeth in you, it’s as hard to shake it off as a vengeful spirit. For new viewers, don’t be mistaken; the monsters in Supernatural are the least terrifying part about it. What’s scarier is the fact that you will get hooked on it to a point of no return and you won’t even complain.

Smallville's Michael Rosenbaum Is the Best Part of This Failed Horror Film (& You Can Watch It for Free)
Image
Michael Rosenbaum gained his cult following by playing Lex Luthor in Smallville, but he already proved he could play the villain in Urban Legend. Rosenbaum was just as impudent in that film, which made his character’s death scene so satisfying.

Tubi is streaming Urban Legend for free this January. Launched at the peak of the 90s slasher trend, the film was criticized for its glaring similarities to Scream. Urban Legend was a commercial hit (earning $72.5 million against its $14 million budget), but it remains one of 1998’s worst-rated horror movies. Released that same year, Disturbing Behavior, The Faculty, and I Still Know What You Did Last Summer were similarly panned by audiences and critics. However, these films fueled the careers of budding stars Katie Holmes, Elijah Wood, and Jennifer Love Hewitt; Smallville fans also look to Urban Legend as a highlight of Michael Rosenbaum’s career.

Lady Gaga joins the cast of Wednesday season 2, obviously
Image
Although she's best known as a pop star, Lady Gaga has long since branched out into acting, even winning a Golden Globe for her portrayal of a vampiric countess on the fifth season of American Horror Story and getting Oscar buzz for her performance in A Star Is Born. Her latest foray onto the screen, playing Harley Quinn in Joker: Folie à Deux, isn't something she likely wants folks to dwell on, since the movie tanked spectacularly. But according to Entertainment Weekly, she's returning to TV in the second season of Wednesday, Netflix's Addams Family show all about the life of young Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega).

We don't know who Gaga will play, but given her penchant for the grim and dramatic, it'll probably be something spooky. Honestly, her brand of camp seems like a good fit for a show like Wednesday. "f Lady Gaga were to be a part,...

Image
The second season of Netflix's Wednesday has added a new cast member that's sure to bring the show a lot of attention, with Lady Gaga set to join the Addams Family spin-off series in a mysterious role.

Details on Gaga's character have not been released, but Variety believes that her part is more likely to be a cameo than a full-on supporting role.

Gaga's involvement with the series was foreshadowed shortly after the first season, when a meme featuring Jenna Ortega's Wednesday Addams dancing to a sped-up version of 2011's Bloody Mary went viral.

Ortega would later state that she would love Gaga to be a part of the show while being interviewed at the 2023 Golden Globes.

"I'm sure Netflix would love that. I think Mrs. Thornhill and Wednesday had this weird mentor relationship or kind of understood each other in a certain way, so, if Lady Gaga were to be a part,...

Image
Paws up, Little Monsters — Lady Gaga is about to take a walk on the creepy, kooky, mysterious, and indeed spooky side! Between the recent releases of both DC supervillain sequel Joker: Folie À Deux and accompanying album Harlequin, and the imminent drop of her seventh studio album this coming February, Gaga could've been forgiven for taking a brief sabbatical from the day job(s) to recharge her batteries. Instead, per Entertainment Weekly's reporting, the multi-hyphenate artist is readying a return to the small screen with a role in Season 2 of Netflix's YA Gothic mystery series Wednesday.

Whilst details of Gaga's role in the upcoming second season of the Addams Family spin-off show remain under wraps for the time being, Variety's sources suggest that her role will be more likely a cameo than a full-blown recurring thing — try as Netflix's production team may have to work out a bigger...
