Jessica Biel stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Thursday, and we have to say that she had one of the best talk-show entrances we've ever seen. After Ellen thought the Sinner actress would come out from backstage, she actually descended down the steps to the Dirty Dancing hit "(I've Had) the Time of My Life." But instead of just doing a little dance and sitting down, she re-created the iconic lift move with tWitch. Prepare to have your jaw drop to the floor.

It will be awhile before we get the Masters of the Universe movie reboot. But the Money Super Market TV spots featuring He-Man and Skeletor might just make that long-gestating fantasy adventure obsolete. He-Man and arch-nemesis Skeletor seem to have settled their differences in this latest commercial, as they can be seen recreating the romantic dance scene from Dirty Dancing.
They probably just really need the money right now as they, and all of us wait for the new Masters of the Universe movie to finally happen. It's been 30 years since the Masters of the Universe movie hit theaters and it tanked in spectacular fashion, so fans have been waiting for a proper He-Man movie since the cartoon debuted in 1983. Maybe this new commercial is a hint of things to come for the 2 sworn enemies.

It’s time to lace up your dancing shoes, find yourself a bungalow bunny, and start practicing the pachanga, because today is the 30th anniversary of Dirty Dancing!
Leaping onto the silver screen, Dirty Dancing made its theatrical debut on August 21, 1987 and instantly won over the hearts – and feet – of teen and adult audiences alike. Directed by Emile Ardolino (Sister Act) and featuring the rhythmic chemistry of Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze, the romantic dance drama went on to earn over $213M worldwide, along with being the first film to sell more than a million copies on VHS.
With a multi-platinum soundtrack, the Oscar, Golden Globe, and Grammy Award for Best Original Song (“(I’ve Had the Time of My Life”), and choreography by former Gene Kelly student, Kenny Ortega (High School Musical,...

Tuesday saw some of the toughest competition between America's Got Talent performers, who were all vying for the last seven spots in the final week of the Judge Cuts round.
From singing groups to daredevils to mind-blowing magicians, every act that hit the stage knew what was on the line and brought everything they had to impress the judges -- but despite an onslaught of stunning displays of skill, the panel still had to make their cuts.
Special guest judge Seal helped the panel whittle down the he competition to the seven performers who impressed them the most and showed that they have what it takes to go all the way. Here are the acts that made it through to the upcoming Agt live round.

Forget about the singers, magicians and other talented acts on America's Got Talent. We just fell in love with a young dancing duo. On Tuesday night's all-new episode, viewers were reintroduced to Artyon and Paige who are eight and nine years old. In tonight's performance, the duo decided to channel their inner Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey with a rendition of "Time of My Life" from the Dirty Dancing movie. Despite being in elementary school, this duo completely wowed the audience and judges with their moves and famous lift. And spoiler alert: They totally made it through to the next round. If their routine wasn't enough to make you a fan, the pair also shares a...

The original Dirty Dancing is a favorite movie to women of all ages. The magic of the film was created by the music, the spark between Jennifer Grey and the late Patrick Swayze, and of course, the dancing. It was a movie we watched when we were young, fantasizing about growing up and falling in love, and we watch it now that we're grown and remember our first loves and those magic summers of our youth.
Remaking a movie so iconic is a big risk, so I watched this ABC remake with a grain of salt. I knew it wouldn't be the Dirty Dancing of my youth, but I wanted to see what it had to offer. Here's the lowdown.
The cast: Abigail Breslin (Signs, Little Miss Sunshine, Zombieland) as Baby Houseman was a perfect fit. She's cute and youthful. She played the naive and inexperienced, yet intelligent Baby really well.

Nobody should make a Dirty Dancing reboot…
But if you're going to, do it right.
Before you read any further, know that I really did try to give ABC's musical adaptation a chance, I did. There have been plenty of remakes of classical hits over the past few years -- some which were not so great, but others, like Grease: Live, that were wonderfully done and satisfied almost all of the viewers who tuned in. Of course, whenever you hear the news that one of your favorite movies of All Time is going to be remade, there's that moment of excitement -- "Yes! I am pumped for this!" -- followed by fear -- "Wait, what if this goes terribly wrong?"

It’s the perfect summer day in western North Carolina -- sunny, breezy and warm with blues skies reflecting against the lake and stretching for miles over rolling green meadows -- and entering the grounds of the country club, a giant “Kellerman’s Lodge” sign greets you from the golf course. Couples in starched, pastel outfits sit in rocking chairs on the porch waiting on cues from the director, while a dance coach run moves on the practice log that hovers twelve inches above the ground. The set of ABC’s highly anticipated Dirty Dancing musical reimagining -- starring Little Miss Sunshine’s Abigail Breslin as Baby and Colt Prattes as Johnny Castle -- is the fancy summer camp experience of your dreams and the cast has bonded tightly just like kids at the end of the season.

If you grew up obsessed with the tale of Baby and Johnny falling in love in the Catskills, brace yourself: ABC’s upcoming “Dirty Dancing” remake is… well, different.
The original film, released in 1987, blended a classic coming-of-age story with a dance-drenched romance, as good girl Baby (Jennifer Grey) finds herself defying her family after meeting dance instructor Johnny (Patrick Swayze). Set in the ’60s, it’s been an iconic favorite for 30 years, so of course it’s natural to be curious (and maybe even a little skeptical) of ABC’s remake, which premieres May 24.

Jordan Peele’s Get Out is a modern-day provocation commanded by raw talent. On the surface, one can marvel at a feature debut steadied by poise, purpose and tonal damnation. Social relevancy gives a voice to racial unrest, only making this twisted suburban nightmare even more daringly delicious. Peele uncorks a bottle of matured oppression, and adds it to a simmering societal pot that only appears to be bubbling more by the day. Paranoia, exploitation and class dominance make for one hell of a conflict, yet comedy still endures. Not like a confined Key & Peele sketch entertains, though – expect nothing to be held back. Just wait for the last thirty-minutes or so. Fireworks by way of gore, survival terrors and one massive, monumental mindfuck.

The first dance between a newly married couple can often be incredibly emotional, but these six unique first dances take that principle to the next level.
All we have to say is: We’re not crying. You’re crying.
1. When this paraplegic veteran surprised his bride by dancing at their wedding without their wheelchair.
Sgt. Joey Johnson served in Afghanistan, and when he returned, took up riding motorcycles, which helped him with his post-traumatic stress disorder. But four months after he met Michelle Johnson at a concert in 2012, Johnson had an accident on his motorcycle that left him a paraplegic.

Festival’s industry strand crowns work-in-progress winners from Macedonia and Ukraine.
The Grand Prix of FilmFestival Cottbus (8-13 November) went to Russia for the fourth time in the last six years, with filmmaker Ivan I. Tverdovsky taking the top award for his second feature Zoology after also winning top honours for his debut Corrections Class in 2014.
The other previous winners from Russia had been Angelina Nikonova in 2011 with Twilight Portrait and Alexander Veledinsky in 2013 with The Geographer Who Drank His Globe Away.
Moreover, Tverdovsky is the third film-maker to win Cottbus’s top prize twice in the festival’s 26-year history following Slovakia’s Martin Sulik (1993: Everything I Like and 1995: The Garden) and Serbia’s Oleg Novkovic (2006: Tomorrow Morning and 2010: White White World).

★★★★★ Winner of the best film award at Karlovy Vary and given its second berth at the Warsaw Film Festival, Szabolcs Hadju's It's Not the Time of My Life is an engrossing, poignant and often very funny study of marriage, family and child rearing. The film gets an unusual degree of realism from the fact that married couple Farkas and Eszter (Orsolya Török-Illyés) and their son Bruno (Zsigmond Hajdu) are played by the director and his family, while the action takes place exclusively in their cosy real-life Budapest apartment.

They’ve never felt this way before. What if Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump just busted out in a song during the second presidential debate on Sunday? Well, some genius cut the debate video to make it look like the duo sang “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life.” In the video posted by the Dutch Lucky TV, Trump and Clinton walk onto the stage to greet audiences, only for Trump to take the mic and start singing the male verse of the song from “Dirty Dancing.” He stares lovingly at Clinton, before she sings the female part of the duet. And for the last 25 seconds of.

Sundance 2015 belonged to “Me and Earl and the Dying Girl,” Alfonso Gomez-Rejon’s crowd-pleasing big screen take on the popular Ya novel of the same name by Jesse Andrews. The adulation was obvious from the start, thanks to a premiere punctuated by a massive standing ovation and a late-night bidding war (with Fox Searchlight ultimately paying $12 million for the indie), all topped off nicely by the double-whammy win of the festival’s Grand Jury Prize and its Audience Award.
The tearjerking dramedy even came complete with a trio of up-and-coming talents to watch — the me, the Earl and, yes, the dying girl — including Thomas Mann, Rj Cyler and Olivia Cooke. As “dying girl” Rachel, former scream queen Cooke was tasked with being funny, sad, dramatic, creative, worldly and wise, all in one appealingly unsentimental package. Best known to audiences for her turns in a series of horror offerings, including “The Quiet Ones,...

Ten years after the Athens Olympic Games, the Athens Olympic Village is a near-deserted place and harbors only a few working-class families who were offered free housing after the 2004 games. It’s the setting for Sofia Exarchou’s debut feature film “Park,” about a group of Athenian teenagers who come of age during a summertime idyll.
They wander around the ruins, playing versions of the Olympic games, and organizing dog mating for money. The eldest members of the group, retired athlete Anna (Dimitra Vlagkopoulou) and timid Dimitri (Dimitris Kitsos), court each other and eventually become a couple, but soon must confront their displacement and alienation in and outside the Village. Watch an exclusive trailer for the film below.

Looking for good books about the movies to read? We've got a bumper selection of recommendations right here...
A confession. I actually started writing this article in 2013, and the reason you've only reading it now is that I've made sure I've read every book on this list, save for one or two where I've marked otherwise. As such, what you're getting is a very personal list of recommendations. Each of these books has at least something to it that I think is of interest to someone wanting to learn more about film - or just enjoy stories of movie making.
I've tended to avoid picture books, with one exception, as these ones I've chosen are all intended to be chock-full of words, to relax with at the end of a long day. Which is what I did. There are one or two notable omissions, as I'm still...

Celebrity Big Brother fans could be forgiven for feeling a bit of déjà vu when Chloe Jasmine strolled into the house - and not just because she was in The X Factor.
In fact, she's been in the CBB house before, performing backing vocals for Celebrity Big Brother 2006 winner Chantelle Houghton as a member of fictional girl group Kandy Floss during the show's wrap party.

Chloe Jasmine (in the orange skirt) certainly seemed to get into the performance of track 'I Want It Right Now', although it didn't exactly help her when she auditioned for The X Factor for the first time later that year.
Chantelle entered the Celebrity Big Brother house in 2006 with a mission to convince her celebrity housemates that she was a member of Kandy Floss, before 're-forming' the group for Ultimate Big Brother with housemates Victor Ebuwa and Nadia Almada.

The Broadway star and “Frozen” voice joined host James Corden in a faux spontaneous number straight out of “Dirty Dancing.” The duo nailed “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life” by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes, adding some choreographed moves to their vocals, which all took place in front of an impressive mini-production. For those wondering — which, let’s be honest, is everyone reading this — Corden and Menzel did stop short of the impressive lift moment.
