Bollywood is famously known as being escapist.
True, there are heroes who can lift cars, women who can change into 7 different sari’s during a 4 minute song and indeed dance in these saris amidst snowy mountains.
However, Bollywood can be non-escapist too as it deals with real life issues that are deep and sometimes that are at the core of us all.
As we live our lives we find that sometimes we tumble through, sometimes we swim and sometimes we sink. Or rather, we feel that we sink. It is certainly in those challenging moments of feeling utterly lost and betrayed by life that transformation occurs – if we choose.
Life is full of ups and downs and we cannot control the seasons that come.
Nevertheless, choosing to see bewildering times as transformation is in our power.
And films can serve as an inspiration to do that.
For some, films help to understand the world.

Once titled 'hitman' Hashmi due to his superb success record, actor Emraan Hashmi has been searching for that elusive hit for almost three years now. To be precise, his last big hit was Raaz 3 which released in September 2012.
In fact since Raaz 3, Emraan Hashmi has had some very promising films like Shanghai, Ek Thi Daayan, Ghanchakkar, etc flopping at the ticket window. Even his Dharma Productions outing Ungli failed to cut much ice, and the case was similar with his home banner venture (Vishesh Films), Mr X which despite the much touted SFX tanked. In all the cases, the hit music which was always associated with Emraan Hashmi films (and which earned him our title, music's lucky mascot) was clearly missing.
To cut a long story short, all eyes and hopes now rest on the golden boy Mohit Suri (Emraan's friend and cousin) to rejuvenate Emraan Hashmi's career and...

The 'dream home' in question is a duplex flat with a beautiful terrace. From what we hear, Jacqueline Fernandez is currently taking care of the interiors and is personally supervising it as he wants her 'dream home' to be fully furnished before settling in. Last weeks India’s RAWstar opened with the challenge from mentor Himesh to the contestants, that they have to sing live in front of their fans in their favourite cities because performing live and connecting with the audience, is the only way to take their music to the next level.
The audience were shown, how the contestants participated in various radio interviews and their journeys to their home towns, to meet their fans.
The first live performance that we got to see, was from Jeffrey Iqbal. Jeffrey performed ‘Yun Hi Chala’ live for his fans and he received an overwhelming response. The second live performance was from Darshan Raval who went to his home town Ahmedabad, to meet his biggest fan and to sing ‘Pehla Nasha’ live for the audience. Mentor Hr is still amazed that Darshan has composed such a fine love song (‘Pehli Mohobbat’) at such a young age.

Whenever director-actor duo Mohit Suri and serial kisser Emraan Hashmi has come together it has been a bold outing! However, with Aashiqui 2 and Ek Villain Mohit Suri seems to have shifted his gears or rather he has different working equation with different actors. Ask Mohit if he is more comfortable making bold subjects with Emraan and has sobered down with other actors, he replies, "It's just a perception. Murder 2 wasn't bolder. Awarpan and Murder 2 were also emotional films.

Mohit Suri’s Ek Villain starring Riteish Deshmukh, Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor is among the most keenly awaited films of the season what with his enviable track record of blockbusters behind him.
Talking about the film’s unusual casting, Mohit says, “I’ve never followed convention. I’ve never cast people just because they’re hot or popular. For me, it’s always been about who is right for the role. Riteish, for instance, has never done something like this before. You’ve seen him largely in comic roles. Yet when you watch Ek Villain you will realize that there is no one better than Riteish for this role. Sidharth has struggled his way up; he’s seen dark days. There was angst in him that made him a perfect fit for this film. Shraddha is more like a boyfriend, a guy buddy I can call in the middle of the night.

The hosts of The Five tonight partially pointed the finger of blame at the "race politics" of the George Zimmerman trial at MSNBC host Al Sharpton. Sharpton has been one of the most outspoken media figures about the trial from the beginning, and even spoke at rallies for Trayvon Martin's family. Eric Bolling went so far as to suggest Sharpton was even the "catalyst behind the Murder 2 charge" Zimmerman is facing.

Colombo, April 4: Post “Murder 2”, Jacqueline Fernandez is being tagged as the sexy siren of Bollywood. When she was asked about her sexy tag, she says that it is weird as in reality she is not at all sexy. Whatever she exudes onscreen, Jacky is just the opposite of it, she is clumsy, she added.
Whenever she hears the tag, she cant help but laugh as she and people who know her, know it that she is the least sexy person. She wants to do different flicks as she wants to show her real side. She is open to do any item numbers though she has objection to the term ‘item’ and prefers to call it special songs or special appearances..

It was long thought that movies getting an A certificate are removed from the mainstream and doesn’t do well in the box office. Not anymore. Now a days it seems that getting an A certificate is the ultimate status symbol in the Bollywood. At least the Bhatt camp has always taken an A certificate from the censor board in their stride and used it to their advantage in the marketing campaigns. The earlier movies ‘Murder’ and ‘Murder 2’ have proudly flaunted an A certificate and used it to draw the crowd to halls. Therefore it was a surprise when ‘Murder 3’ got a U/A certificate.
