The Warner Bros. logo used at the opening of the film is a modified version of the Saul Bass designed logo from the 1970s.
Partway into the end credits, there is footage of representative scenes of the main characters alongside their names.
The film's copyright is in the name of "The Estate of Redmond Barry." In reality, there is no such person, and thus no accompanying estate. Redmond Barry is the given name of the main character in "The Luck of Barry Lyndon: A Romance of the Last Century," a novel by English author William Makepeace Thackeray. Thus, the use of this fictional personage is an Easter Egg, repeated in the two sequels, where the reference appears again (although as an imprimatur, not as a copyright). As the novel's title implies, the story is about the fortunes, and misfortunes, of its hero, similar to the film in question.
