The party/something illegal we don't actually mention storyline does actually get interesting here with some interesting characterisation among the teens:Andrew pushed into a corner, Summer determined the night will go well for him, Natasha being the voice of sanity for once and trying to keep Andrew out of trouble.It's a pleasant surprise that she actually tells Michael what's going on although it would be nice if one of the teens had the sense to call the police before the adults get involved.
