On Sunday, I covered my fourth (fifth? It's all getting a bit fuzzy in my mid-30s) Golden Globes, and let me tell you, it was wild! I laughed with George Clooney, bro'd out with Michael Fassbender, ogled Michelle Williams' trophy up close, and capped the night off with Diddy and Lindsay Lohan. I also was in bed eating a piece of cheesecake from room service before midnight. All of these things are true. Such is the bizarre event the Hollywood Foreign Press puts on every year. You're a sketchy odd bunch, but you throw a hell of a party, guys! Thanks for the memories.

From Tori Amos's dad chaperoning her at her first paid gig, to Don Letts DJing with only one deck, a host of stars recall the formative moments that kicked off their careers
The first time I was paid to play live Tori Amos
I'd been kicked out of the Peabody conservatory in Baltimore at the age of 11 and lost my scholarship because I wasn't Peabody stock any more. I had real issues that they weren't teaching contemporary composers. They said the Beatles would be gone and dead within 30 years, and no one would care. It was 1974, I was 11, and it was good to be right! My minister father was really distraught. He had these dreams of me being a concert pianist and then going into religious music. I just looked and him and said: "Dad, this music is just not moving me." He said: "Well, if you're going to go into that world,...

While the fate of "The Chicago Code's" second season hangs in the balance, Matt Lauria is fairly confident about the chances of a pickup.
"The actors are always the last ones to know about it but I think we're solid," Lauria tells Zap2it. "I don't think we're a disappointment by any stretch and you know, we're not a huge hit but I think that we get a lot of positive feedback from critics and the fans seem to be coming out in droves so we'll see."
As for any developments he'd like to see in Caleb's storyline, the actor has a simple request.
"It'd be good to have a love interest," he explains. "Be good to pull down a girlfriend or something. Do some more door kicking and some gun shooting and that should suffice."
There are still a few episodes left in Season 1 of the Fox cop...

It was another night of low viewership for the major networks. The biggest draw of the night was CBS' venerable 48 Hours Mystery. Fox traded in their typical Cops and America's Most Wanted line-up for an original movie called Truth Be Told. Not a good move on their part.
On ABC, they ran Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest again, perhaps in an attempt to get folks ready to go see the next installment this summer. NBC had Law & Order: Los Angeles and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit repeats but few tuned in to see them.
